  • No I do not think it would be a nightmare. Physically the engine should fit and yes the tunnel may need some modes for the trans to clear, but not too big of a deal. 1970 Torinos came with 429/C6 so there is room there. You will need the mustang floor shifter, make your own exhaust and driveshaft solutions, and you will need to mount an intercooler and fab up tubes for it to turbos and for intake air, but the Mustang's part might be pretty close to what is needed. Wiring is a nightmare, but with the donor car you will get everything you need and there are a lot of options as to how to strip-out the factory wiring of the Mustang to get just what you need to make the engine and trans run. I can modify your harnesses for you for around $1000., or you can attempt yourself or with friend's help. No one makes a wiring "kit" for this swap, but Ford Performance claims they will soon (when is unknown).
