Question: I used the black rubber fitting that has 3 red vacuum hoses going to it for the T instead of the brass T. I just fit the rubber fitting with a zip tie on the boost port of the blower and ran red vacuum line to boost guage hose, frps, and top fitting on the boost bypass actuator. Would this set up be ok?

If you removed anything around the throttle body in the process of doing this, I would check that. Nothing in the EGR delete process, that I know of, will effect your idle.

If everything around the TB is ok, maybe try disconnecting your battery for about 15 minutes, reconnect and try starting your car again.

anyone have a picture of how the driver side of the eaton should look after this is all done? also pics of the rear and the passenger side would be great too.

deleted my egr and removed the bracket that attaches to the eaton along with the 2 sensor boxes, and routed the vacuum lines up as shown above and i'm throwing a P0243 code.

Have you turned your EGR off in your tune yet? That will cause it.

I followed this diagram with the exception of a few things. I started the ported blower after and engine swap and hear a whining while the engine is running and then after I shut down the car is sounds like air is escaping from somewhere I just can't pin point.

Got a few questions I received none of the stock vacuum line when I traded my turbo for the engine and blower. I had to get all the lines from NAPA.

I have the vacuum line as follows:

FRPS and Boost by pass teed together and the Stock boost gauge and after market boost gauge to one port of the tee (brass tee in pic)

Bottom boost bypass is vented to the atmosphere.

I hooked the vac line coming from under the blower to the other end of the tee (brass tee in pic) I think this is where my problem may be (what is this line and what is it supposed to go too?

I hooked up the driver's side valve cover to the port labled "Manifold vent to PVC port"

I hooked up the AC and Charcoal line (i am assuming the charcoal line it is the only vac line left i can find) to the top port of the blower.

Evap line to the TB Plenum.

I obviously did something wrong can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Johnny Ray

Are you talking about the 1/2" line coming from under the lower intake of the blower? If so, that line does not go to the brass fitting. I am fairly certain that it gets tee'd off with the line coming from the Manifold Vent to PCV port then over to the drivers side head PCV valve. The factory setup uses a big white plastic tee.

It's been quite some time since I did this so double check with the Eaton guys. I plugged my lower intake and use breathers on both valve covers.

That makes tons of sense now! It was almost like something was counteracting my boost. When I would get on to it it would boost but then is would just stop.

So I can just block it off and get a breather for the drivers side VC? Do you have any issues with oil spraying the engine bay? I am assuming i can get a block off from napa or just use a big screw???

Thanks for the help it has been years since i have had the eaton but this information never gets old~

Yes you can plug the lower intake but make sure you run breathers on both sides if you do or you will get unmetered air in the intake from the passenger side head cover tube that will make it hard to get tuned correctly because its not a closed system any longer. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah that makes since looks like my options are tee the lower intake to the drivers side VC or block it off and run breathers on both VC's. Currently I have to the passenger side VC hooked up to the intake tube. If i run breathers would need to block that off too then.

Thanks for your help this should make the difference and fix my problem!!
