Hey quys im ordering a spec stage 3+ and i was just wondering which flywheel would be better, the aluminum or the steel flywheel. Thanks
just for the record, your stock flywheel is aluminum .
What is the weight difference between the aluminum and steel flywheel?
I just bought the Fidanza aluminum one.
The stk one weighs 12-15lbs the forged steel is 25lbs, I did a swap and a steel one will take more of a beatn longer life, and u can replace the disk on it instead of the whole flywheel, you cant with aluminum. I hear with high HP alum ones can brake. Mine is a fidanza fly forged steel and its great you wont notice no differance. IMO these motors will have no problem spining a heavyer flywheel.
I agree with most of what you said, except the are I highlighted. Most aftermarket aluminum flywheels (like Fidanza, for example) have the replaceable steel friction surface, so that is a non-issue.;-)
