Well i went 3 weeks ago to scope it out. It def is a nice track. I talked to few guys there and its the nicest one in all of the UK to be exact.
I went about 2 weeks to finally run. What they consider good track prep sucks. They spray a little VHT but for the most part they throw down some stuff that looks like powder dirt. I guess its suppose to help traction or soak up fluids?? :shrug: It does nothing but make things go from bad to worse.
As for the wait time to make a run wasn't too bad. offcourse get there at 930 to get signed in paid etc. then start running at 1000. I managed to get about 5 to 6 runs almost back to back before a decent crowd showed. In the afternoon it was more like a 30 min - 1hour wait for a run. It was a really good time. Oh and if you trap above 110mph you got get full face helment. you can buy them for $35 pounds at the shop at the track.
Overall it would be a blast if you guys made a trip out here and got here in the morning and stayed into the afternoon. the track is out in the middle of fields far way from any gas station so fill up when you get close. I heard they got race gas but didn't ask much about it.
Post up and send some PMs out if you guys plan a date. Saturdays would be best. But make sure there isn't a evet going on. the 1-3 of May is the All american show so it should be very busy which is cool bc a lot of other american cars but at the same time i heard avoid it bc you might get to run the track 3 or 4 times the entire day due to how many cars are trying to run. Also mark your calenders for August 8th @ Silverstone is Ford Festival. Its a all Ford event with car show/ and challenges like a 0 to 60mph competition. Should be good time.:beer:
