Because the seller is a liar if you would read before you post it's all in black and white... I don't know how your DMV works but Arkansas won't except a copy of a title they want the real thing. My bank is working on getting the title if they don't get then we will be working on getting my money back.



Dood I dropped this crap over a month ago. Like I said I don't need any advice on how to fix my car. I not trying to be an ass but you can stop waisting your time trying bash me about how I handled this situation. You don't have a clue as to what all went on with me and Tyler but you would have a better understanding if you had read the whole thread. It really doesn't matter to me anymore whats done is done... I really don't remember calling you anything at all unlike yourself "douche to put it bluntly". Find something new to whine about.

I have read the whole thread thank you. And you're right we don't have a clue what really happened. You go one thing right. That's why it is hard to say who is right and who is wrong when we don't know the truth or the whole story.

I just think you went about it completely wrong, but who knows what really went on or happened. We don't even know WHY its overheating yet??? You just keep saying the motor has to be pulled but you refuse to do the right thing to figure out whats wrong...

We haven't heard barely anything from the seller. We don't really have his side of things. Not saying he was rigth AT ALL but still we don't know both sides to this story. So its hard to say whos right and wrong.

Nothing you say ever adds up or makes sense so theres no use trying to keep going with this :shrug:

I think 04OUTLAW was trying to accomplish ONE thing with this thread. And that ONE thing was to HELP inform the members of svtperformance not to buy anything from this kid (higgins363). Whether it be future cars that higgins363 may try to sell or just confirmation for the many potential buyers that almost purchased this car from higgins363 but felt that it was a little sketchy. I don't think 04OUTLAW is asking for help, pity or for anyone to take sides. It's good that these types of sellers are pointed out. In my opinion, if higgins363 will be shady about selling a car, he'll be shady about selling a $100 part or whatever the case may be.

The seller is 17 years of age..?

I don't know if this has a reverse effect, but anyone under 18 cannot be legally binded to a contract (anything over $500). It may be reversable too.... a 17 year old cannot legally produce a contract.

You may want to post this problem in the donut shop. That could potentionally get you every single penny back, plus more.

^^^ This, if his parents didnt sign anything like the bill of sale also, the contract isnt valid and you would be entitled to your money back.

But on another note, why havent you gone after the shipping company for the 43 extra miles, im sure they document that when they pick the car up as well so you would know who was lying. Also, the kid being 17 and 800 miles away has nothing to do with the situation. contact your lawyer and tell him to get his ass into gear. You can actually file for suit at your county court and it would require him to show up there meaning you wouldnt have to travel anywhere.

Not trying to tell you what to do or even sound like a dick, just trying to give you some thoughts but it doesnt seem like you are taking much action :shrug:

The extra 43 miles was another one of Tyler lies. He also told me I was lucky because he just filled the car up with gas the day he received payment. It took a week before the shipping comp could pick the car up. I felt a little worried and asked him the exact mileage he said he couldn't tell me cause the night before he drove the to Cedar Rapids and got snowed in at his gf house. That's over an hour away from where he lives and this was 4 days after I paid for the car. Two days later the driver told me he called Tyler and he told him the car was with him at the hardware store he works. When I got the car it was on E I was thinking no big deal until drove the car and in 3 miles and ran hot on me the temp here was 30 degrees. I called Tyler about the car overheating issue he said the gauges didn't work properly. Here's a pic of the gauges the day I got the car.

Note the fuel gauge is less than half that's after I put $10 of fuel in it!!!!

Matters not now right it's mine now and I will fix it. It doesn't make any difference anymore there's been a handful of people insulting me because I bought "questionable car sight unseen" but for the most part there's more people that agree with me which still means absolutely nothing. I felt it was my duty as a seller and buyer on this forum to expose Tyler Higgins for what he really is and that was done a few months ago. Apparently someone reopened this thread and all I have done is defend myself as any man should. If I were the shady party is this situation I would remain silent as well. Despite all of the lies and shady stuff the kid pulled it really is MY FAULT for trusting someone I didn't know. Internet trading is not safe and I learned that first hand. I have been far to civil in this whole situation I have EVERY message from day one that Tyler and I sent to each other texting and on this forum. Get your ***ing facts straight before you make threats tough guy. Tyler is a kid and thats the main reason why I dropped this situation but the facts are just what they are facts I got a busted car that was said to be perfect. I'm 100% serious about paying your way if you'd like come down here I will show this car first hand and if you feel that still wanna be tough guy I will glady entertain that as well....

im 18 and just got a mostly stock 97 cobra after owning a 95 and 96 gt.

im suprised the car isnt wrecked. the kid seems like too immature and stupid to own a car like that

i feel your pain op my 97 cobra was wrecked before not relizing it when i went to look at it cause it looked nice, clean clean title,drove fine and was overall excited to get a cobra. guy seemed legit. next day after i bought it my dad relized all the stuff that was halfassed and not fixed right after it was wrecked.

guy sold it to me as is in the receipt so nothing i could really do about it.
i paid 5000 for it and he gave me 200 back for a new hood. its a 97 pacific green 111k miles.

my dads currently taking it apart fixing/replacing what was halfassed.
not happy cause i wasnt expecting to have to put any money into it or fix anything but i guess i cant complain for the price just live and learn. it helps my dads put a few wrecked cars together so he knows what hes doing,if i had to have the body work done by a shop id be pissed!

just take it as a lesson learned do what you have to to fix it and be happy with it. goodluck
