It's ok Tyler you f ucked me pretty good and that's fine you had to tell your mommie to call me with her ridiculous threats.. Tyler someday you'll become a man until then stop putting yourself in a mans place selling broke shit on the internet not a smart thing to do....

On a more serious note - I'd consult a lawyer (if nothing else out of principal alone) or at the very least take this chump to small claims court and see what you can get done there.

Honestly if I were going to buy a car on here, I'd make the person list it on ebay. That way assuming the seller is legit, the car will have a $20,000 warranty that will cover anything that's wrong that wasn't disclosed. Also, it would be covered under paypal. Good luck.

If this kid was under age (17years of age) trying to sell a car, where were the parents during all of this? Shouldn't they have been observing the transaction to make sure no loose ends were left untied?

Sorry to hear this story

I want to know if the mileage was written down on the shipping documents. If it was written down and stated, I think that the shipping company should have to explain the 43 mile difference.

Also being that this kid is 17 and a minor can he even be held legally responsible?

You get what you pay for these days! Be smart and pay the extra coin, becuase in the end, you are paying more for a cheaper car with all the money needed to fix it!

Ford : Mustang : eBay Motors (item 280459780597 end time Feb-08-10 18:04:01 PST)

Sounds like a cheesy sales pitch to me. I have just under 12k dollars invested in this car that books for 8k I think I've already paid the extra coin. Your car is really nice but I'm not a car collector therefore I wouldn't have any interest in your car. I bought what I wanted the only thing here is the seller was dishonest. I've contacted my lawyer but the kid is or was 17 years old and 800miles away so there's really nothing I can do. This spring I'm going to rebuild the car and save what I can there's no telling how long he drove getting hot like this. I don't need any help diagnosing the problem tho I do appreciate everyones input and concern. I posted this only to let my fellow board members know what kinda person this kid is. So the next time this kid buys and car ****s it up he won't be pawning it off on any of you that has read this thread.

I hate to say this but i would take it to a shop. Sounds like the same problem that happened to my car i bought from texas. Car was fine shipped up here and everything and when i got it after the first couple days the temp shot through the roof and it overheated. Took it to a shop and found out it had a warped head! :bash: After it was all said and done it cost me $3,000....

I don't normal post on here, I just read a lot, but this kinda had me going

The OP is pissed because he bought a car that was sold by an unknowledgable buyer.

I would be extremely upset as well, but he went about it the worst manner. Come on here and b!tch and moan about it. First thing he should have called the seller and tried to resolve it in the correct manner. Never know, the kid might have said $hit ok, I'll help pay for it to get fixed. But no he just can on here and bi tched about how he got screwed. Thats what I don't like. Hes acting extremely inmature about this and just needed to talk one on one with the seller before he came here.

And like others have stated. They all looked into previous posts and looked at the car and decided it was sketchy so they stayed away. The OP bought a car sight unseen. Thats the dumbest thing you can do. Buy a car that had an engine swap done sight unseen.

Sorry man, but this is your own doing. Yeah I would be upset too, but you went about it in the worst way. Your fault and therefore have no remorse for you what so ever.

FYI I did contact the seller and made several attemps to resolve the issue with the car. The kid knowingly took a chance to screw someone and got away with it. That's why I posted here to let everyone know what kind of person he is... I DID NOT post one single word to get remorse from you frankly I could care less what u think. From day one I've posted facts only not accusations people like you encourage people like the seller to continue to screw people. I know it was my fault to think that there's other people in this world like me I would never screw anyone over. I work pretty hard for my money and I don't like giving any of it away. If this kid was an adult I would have definately handled this whole matter differently.

Now here's the funny part I bought the car 11-30-09 and I still haven't received a title for the car. I don't know who's the blame for that but it's probably my fault too according to you oh well who gives a ***.

Why does the original poster always sweep the extra 43 miles on the car after it was shipped under the rug? Either the shipper drove the piss out of it before the new owner got it, or the OP hurt it and doesn't want to man up about it. Come on now, give us a break. Your story just doesn't add up. And how is it the sellers problem you haven't got the title when you've already been faxed a copy of it from the bank?!! Your credibility is suspect.

I mean, I would totally be pissed too if I bought a car and it over heated 2 miles later. But honestly, you should first of never of bought it sight unseen to begin with, thats like a golden rule.

Secondly, you come on here name calling like we are in the 9th grade. You get so outrageous the second someone says something is not 100% on your side. You need to get over youself and realize you made a mistake. Yeah, I would be pissed too, but you never should have bought it to begin with.

If a bunch of other people realized it could potentially have a problem, so should of you. Especially since apparently you are a master mechanic like you say...

If you can on here just trying to inform us of you situation and maybe ask for some advice on the matter or atleast acted like a civilized human. I probably would have more remorse for you. But honestly, you came on here acting like a douche to put it bluntly.

Sorry man, I mean, I can see why you are upset if you story is even 5% legit, but you should have gone about it differnetly. Hopefully you learn for next time.

I'm in no way sticking up with this kid, but I'm not sticking up for you either. I think we only know half the story. We don't if any of what your saying is true or if what the seller is saying is true.

this sucks for ya but at the same time i agree with the above. I just graduated from highschool last year and took higher level mechanic classes. i dont need to be a ford mechanic and have built a "bitchin" car thats in ur sig to know that you were taking a shot in the dark to replace your water pump and thermo. both of those things can be tested before replacing them (stick the thermo in a pot of hot water, ect) and if your a master mechanic why didnt you replace them yourself? a new water pump can be had for <$150 and a thermostat isnt much more. you could have replaced both of those (which didnt need to be replaced) for less than $200 and could be done in a few hours on a weekend. not defending this kid but at the same time i think your approach of this whole situation is a little childish in its own. i dont see why the whole motor needs to be pulled to solve a cooling problem. do a leakdown test, pressure bleed the coolant, check the oil, ect. like i said, im not a master mechanic and it seems like your blowing things out of proportion and guessing at how to fix the problem. best of luck

Because the seller is a liar if you would read before you post it's all in black and white... I don't know how your DMV works but Arkansas won't except a copy of a title they want the real thing. My bank is working on getting the title if they don't get then we will be working on getting my money back.

Dood I dropped this crap over a month ago. Like I said I don't need any advice on how to fix my car. I not trying to be an ass but you can stop waisting your time trying bash me about how I handled this situation. You don't have a clue as to what all went on with me and Tyler but you would have a better understanding if you had read the whole thread. It really doesn't matter to me anymore whats done is done... I really don't remember calling you anything at all unlike yourself "douche to put it bluntly". Find something new to whine about.

First off the car had a elec water pump which was inop and there's no way to test except remove it so being somewhat smart I replaced it with a mechanical water pumps that requires no voltage to operate. Second why remove a thermostat drive back home boil water so i can test it a new one cost 10 bucks. The car is blowing compression thru the coolant system the minimum damage is going to be head gaskets WHICH CANNOT BE REPLACED IN THE CAR. There's no telling how long he's ran the car overheating he said he took the car to a shop because the gauges were reading hott a few months before I bought the car and the shop told him the gauges weren't working properly. Hmm what would you do don't tell me I because I don't wanna know.. Trust me I have no problem fixing my car.

Wait one second....

The seller is 17 years of age..?

I don't know if this has a reverse effect, but anyone under 18 cannot be legally binded to a contract (anything over $500). It may be reversable too.... a 17 year old cannot legally produce a contract.

You may want to post this problem in the donut shop. That could potentionally get you every single penny back, plus more.

If it's there is something wrong with the head gasket, you would be able to smell coolant.... ?

I can help you locate your problem. FO Free....

I have had the same exact problem out of my old 2004 SY Cobra, which I fixed pretty simple.... After about $600 I came to a little wire that I overlooked.
