To the new owner - I would document everything, contact the shipping company and make them aware of the situation, then contact a laywer...you were clearly sold a car under false pretence and the proof is here in this thread

glad I opted for the heads/cam viper instead of this car. Honestly though, I wonder if the shipping company drove it. Tyler, did you document the exact mileage when they picked up the car?

Outlaw, did you document the exact miles when you got the car off the trailer?

Tyler you lied about the miles from day one. The very first day you told me it had 91400 then after I realized on Wednesday night you were still driving my car I asked you the exact miles you said 93000. I knew you was lying so I told I wanted the miles to the tenth you said it's snowed in at my gf house 30 miles away. Then u text me saying the miles 93030 of coruse another lie it was 93070 somethig the driver has it documented he's gonna call me tomorrow with exact numbers. Now keep in mind I paid for the car Monday at 9:30am. Sunday night you said I was lucky because u just filled it up. The driver picked the car up from your job not your gf house and when I recieved the car it was on E hmm go figure. You texted me the next Wednesday morn asking if I got it yet and wanted to know how I liked it. That's when I asked about the gauges you don't worry about them they don't work properly. Dealing with you has been the worst mistake ive made ever. I'm guessing your Mommie was in on this too the way she got upset so fast with me and I'm the one recieved the ****ing.

I almost forgot you said the truck driver must have messed it up now I see how your setting it up. Here we go again about the miles I guess you insinuating the 55 year old truck driver did all this. Your a real piece of work Tyler I really thought you was a decent kid now I realize your nothing but a liar and crook. Once again congrats on pawning your problem off on me and to your mom you really shouldn't be so gullable your son isn't as innocent as he seems. When something goes really wrong for you all just remember how you helped your son **** some out of 10,300 dollars.

I have it all documented I'm having all my text messages printed off as well I have every text he sent (all the lies)... I tried to be nice and asked tyler to give me 1300 to help with expense for fixing the car and he cried to his mommie. So now I want the total amount including my lawyer fees and shipping fees as well. I'm getting all my ducks in a row right now time to play hard ball.

Kinda funny I just read one of the text saying how he's been driving the car for the last two weeks and that's same thing his mom said as well. The second week the car was owned by me and that's also when he took a 150 mile trip to Cedar Rapids (he said that's why the car had no gas left). I really wonder why the car had been sitting up probably because he couldn't figure why it was getting hot but after it was paid for it made no difference to him he already had his money.

I personally f'in hate kids like that! Im a young guy too and take extremely good care of my car and consider honesty the best policy but its kids like this that make it hard to sell cars sometime seeing a young guy owning it.

Listen higgens, quit being a piece of shit and take responsibility for your mess up. You know damn well that there was something wrong with the car but you are too young and stupid to fix it and thats why you sold it immediately after buying it! Not because you couldnt afford it anymore!

Your a piece of work :kaboom:

And 04outlaw im really sorry you got dicked over by this, you seem like a really good guy and i feel for ya. Hopefully everything turns out alright and you come out ahead!

I agree man. I almost learned the hard way too. From now on, no matter how far away the cars I buy are, unless I am 100% confident with the car and its history, I am flying out and driving back or driving it on the shipping truck myself. I was fortunate with this Viper I picked up because I know the previous owner and its history and the new seller is a good guy. You do have to be careful with younger kids because 99% of the time, no matter what their excuse for selling, the real reason is they cant afford it and something happened where they dont have enough $$ to fix it.

I hope you get it all figured out bro, I am truely sorry for you having to go through this BS.

If the mother had anything negative to say to 'you', then that clearly shows that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You would think that 'ANY' parent would try to instill some type of morals in their kids. Again, good luck with whatever you decide to do with the car and the seller.

I hope you can take that punk for everything hes worth, at least your 10,300. As I posted here before, I talked to this kid multiple times on the phone about this car....story was always changing, and any issue (like the driveshaft rubbing) was "you cant even notice it, its fine." I was going to fly out to get this car the day before Thanksgiving, and drive it back 1000 miles. If I had done that I wouldn’t have been home with my family for Turkey day....but tyler told me dozens of times "it will make the trip no problem" I feel real bad for the OP, I just hope you seek justice and teach this kid a lesson. Even if he declares bankruptcy, you wont get your money but at least you will have ruined his live for the next 7 years.

Tyler, I hope you are reading this, you should be shaking in your boots right now son. This will come back and bite you and you'll carry it with you for a long long time.

I hope he helps you out. I am 20 years old. I sold my harley xr750 flattrack bike about 3 months ago and sold it as is. the bike blew up a month later. i felt so bad about it. the guy shipped the cylinder heads to Darcy Racing and i paid the $3,000 to have the heads completly redone. I hate when people blame young kids like me. It is all on how you are raised. I felt like if i didnt spend that $3,000, it will end up coming back and biting me in the ass anyways. HIGGINS. you should grow a pair and man up

Hey man I am on your side of this deal as I got screwed on my car as well but just to let you know, I dont know how he could of taken a 150 mile trip to Cedar Rapids, IA when he lives in Marion, IA which is pretty much the same city, they literally run right into one another, there is no mileage in between them. Just thought I would mention that in case it mattered as far as him lying to you.
