Man are you blind? The guy above posted the ownership records as they are shown by the secretary of state, the corporations are owned by they same person according to the law of the state of Pennsylvania.

It doesn't matter how they are operated, according to the Secretary of State, they have the same owner.

Bingo - until then (and possibly after depending on the potential commingling of funds and other) the liability for both Mighty Muffler and Evolution is being held out to the public as belonging to the same individual: NELSON P WHITLOCK JR.

WOW. I never actually read what the problem was that MM created?
I have never had a bad experience with EVO. They went out of their way to help me. I have met and spoken with Jr. a few times, and he was a wealth of knowledge, and great to talk to.
I have had problems in the past with vendors, and vented in post, but the bashing really isn't necessary.

I think it is a shame that this wasn't handled outside of the forum, on a more professional level.
Where is the Xmas spirit? Hahaha

Kent, I think it still stands that if someone takes their car to Evo to get work done, Evo should be doing the work. Not one person on this site, other than the locals, knows who the hell 'Mighty Muffler' is and I'm sure they wouldn't be the first place in anyone's mind to do custom exhaust work. Evo has their reputation as a good performance shop and I guess it's convenient that whenever something comes out that may tarnish them, they have another 'no-name' shop to blame it on.

"mighty muffler did your exhaust work, Jon Lund tuned your car" What is it exactly that Evolution does in their shop?

Mixxer - the entity was created in 2004 according to the Commonwealth of PA -hence when the articles of incorporation were filed. A Pennsylvania entity has an obligation to update information with PA SOS when information changes. If information has changed, as you say, then it has not been updated with the PA SOS as is required. I'm not going to give you a lesson on the law and if you believe the entity information posted is incorrect then please search for yourself:

Lets just break down the simple numbers!

-This thread has been up for less than 24 hours, in a specific section catering to locals mostly.

-It has had over 2000 views!

- for the sake of making a point, IF every 20th person had an intent to spend some money there, at some point, and is now swayed, that is 100 customers lost, VERY likely scenario.
Theory, but a very safe assumption being how fast this type of information spreads on the internet!

This just makes Evolution performance look unprofessional and they will not be getting any recommendations or business from me!

Good to know that someone sees it the way that I do.... I deal with these types of SOS issues often.

Being a contractor I can tell you this. If a client calls me and says the $400,000 theater room isn't working, I sure as s**t will not tell them that 'oh the sub-contractor down the road that put it in did that work, sorry'. I would be on their doorstep within the hour to see if I can figure it out myself. I don't care if it's christmas eve. A business owner that doesn't have this dedication is NOT a business owner, but an opportunist.

I would, and have, done the same if something as little as a 2 minute adjustment is needed. An hour of driving, $150. Time to tweek a few items, $75. The word that they would spread to their friends about what I would do for any and all of my clients? Priceless.

Agree and dealing with Gov sub contractors to parent contacts(ors); about like a parent blaiming a sub for doing something under the parent contact in a different building. It wouldn't reflect on the sub but the parent. Simple business really.

The owner of mighty muffler and evolution performance are two different.
Yes, perhaps they are now Kent. But they are father and son and have been working together for quite some time to establish these businesses which may have seperate specialties, but all work together to serve the same customers. Nelson, (the dad) has worked his butt off from what I've heard, to make this business group successful, and it sounds like JR (the son) has struggled with maintaining the standard which Nelson worked so hard for.

Unfortunately, whether right or wrong, this is a reflection on Nelson and Evolution Performance, and to head off this growing negativity towards Evolution, Nelson should get involved, make it right with Mike, and restore the good name of the company he worked so hard to build.

They looked after me and were all friendly......not to mention Chuck and Shawn work on these with complete confidence.
