How's it going Mike! I used Matthews Carlsen right here in Palo Alto for an insureance claim on my Tacoma TRD Sport 4X4. Some idiot decided to talk over the roof of it when it was parked a while back. Matthews Carlsen installed a whole new roof, etc. It turned out very nice- the finish is as good as the factory toyota finish. I'd be happy to show it to you if you're interested. I would bet they would be expensive for painting your whole car, but I would consider them for collision work. Good luck,

Matt

Mike, just a thought but I'd post this question over on the Norcal SVTOA site... I think you'd get more feedback there, and they even have Apex Autobody as a sponsor (although I don't know anything about them).

Other than the place I referenced before, I don't have much experience with paint shops in the bay area... I have had a few cars painted before, and my brothers have had a lot of them painted- but these have all been in New Mexico (where I'm from). I don't want to say anything about your Ford dealer because I've never seen their work, but generally a Ford dealer wouldn't come to mind as a great paint shop! For $7K you should be able to shop around quite a bit assuming you don't need much body work.

Matt
