I have a 2001 Bullitt Mustang, last year I had a Vortech Supercharger install along with 42lb injectors, a mod pipe (air intake) , and a fuel pump and all the goodies needed to make the car right. Other than the supercharger and the supporting mods, the car is stock. Car made 350 RWHP.

I want to add an exhaust, I know the car will have to be retuned.

That being said, I was going to put on a BBK crossover (2.5 inch) and a stainless steal Flowmaster unit from Jegs.

BBK 1670 - BBK X-Pipes for Mustangs
Flowmaster 817312 - Flowmaster Mustang Exhaust Systems

I am wondering if I should get the crossover with or without cats, I still want to be able to listen to the radio but have the performance aspect too.

What do you guys recommend? I see you have an exhaust compilation at the top, but I just wanted some personal opinions too....

No cats, ok. No flows? What do you recommend? I don't want something you can't hear the radio....and I think a straight pipe would be too loud.....

I have BBK headers, crossover, ss flowmaster, no cats. I here the radio just fine with a convertable. There is a certain rpm around 2800 which makes a loud echoing sound. Its no big deal and a good way to tell when the car isnt running perfect. Do it its a good set up. If you would like I could let you hear on video exactly what it will sound like, the exact set up:beer:

I have a video of mine as well if you want me to post it. BBK longtube headers, BBK H-Pipe, Flowmaster Super 40s, SLP exit pipes. I get good comments about the sound of mine. I posted the video in the Pics and Videos Buffet section not too long ago and had a lot of replies of people telling me they loved it. I was kinda thinking it was to loud and was going to throw in some high flow cats but everyone seemed to like my setup the way it is.

I have SLP LM1's and SLP O/R x pipe and I can hear just fine with the windows up or down. Crusing speeds you can still have a conversation with the person next to you. It gets retarded loud at WOT

highflow catted X of your choice and either Borla Stingers, Magnaflow, or SLP LM1s IMO.

+1 heres a sound clip of my old setup. pretty much the same as what he has but with o/r x pipe and flowmaster 2 chambers. Nevermind the breathing sounds haha...

You might want to try just a mid pipe first as the bullitt has its own specially tuned mufflers which sound pretty awesome with an o/r H-pipe and they are louder then standard GT mufflers already too.

Do a offroad mid pipe and KEEP THE STOCK BULLITT EXHAUST ON!!

+1
The real bottleneck is in your H pipe, not catback
Save the money and put it towards a set of LT's and matching mid pipe.
BBK has a decent set of LT's and off road H that will put a smile on your face. good 25-30 rwhp gain from just that. G/L
