Hey everyone hate to start to up another CAI thread but I can't get a specific answer. I want to buy the best (performance wise) intake I can get and the JLT intakes look to be the ones to get. However I'm not sure if I should get the ram air intake or their cold air intake version. Please state why I should pick either/or and if you have any other recommendation please say why. Thanks a lot guys!

JLT RAI, Easy to install works well for weekend racers an my carbon fiber one doesnt look like I made it out of plumbers pipe.

X2, I have 2 friends that run them in their Terminators plus, I have heard of the high boost ones suckin' in water on rare occasions, lol, if it's a daily driver...I will be getting the RAI in black...

I have the cai was on my car when I bought it. It seems to fit nice. I have been told the rai will make more power tho I haven't seen any dyno #s to prove that.

TMAC...Jay Tucker is local to us. Wouldn't hurt to swing by his shop out in Chesapeake and describe the mods you have and ask him personally what he would recommend. Great guy to deal with. I loaned him my old Saleen for a few days for test fitments of the CAI and RAI on the Series IV Saleens when we was just starting to market them. I want to say the RAI provided better numbers, but I'm not 100% certain.

He has put his products on enough dynos and I'm sure has received plenty of feedback from his customers to help you on your decision.

Good luck!

Didn't realize he was so close! Yeah that sounds like my best bet.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions

what's better for a cobra, the K&N FIPK2 kit or the JLT RAI? they look the same to me, but the rai is shrouded on top of the air filter, the rai filter is it a K&N or a different filter, also is it larger than the FIPK2 filter?

Sorry for the lil Hijacking Tmac01baller. i tried to keep it on topic

If you want an easier install and easier replacement of the filter then go with the RAI. That would be my personal choice.

TMAC, I will show you my JLT RAI when you stop by on Sunday. It's the painted version not the carbon fiber version he just came out with. I also have a JLT High Boost CAI that you can take a look at also for comparison.
