this makes me hate cops even more im sick and tired of cops getting away with bullshit like this. I have never once ever had a cop help me in anyway at all. short story i was on the NJ parkway and it was snowing and i had my v6 mustang at the time and i lost control and went into a small ditch on the side of the road so a great and helpful dude pulled over in his dodge ram and procedded to pull me out of the ditch well a cop pulls up and almost tries to give me multiple tickets and yells when he could have just said maybe "let me give you guys a hand and slow traffic down a bit but nooo fin cop gives both of us a hard time and keeps rambling on about shit. anyway guy pulls me out and i go on my way cop just proceeded to sit in his car. now im not saying that there are some cops out there that do theyre job the rite way and actually HELP people in need but until i experience a cop actually helping me i can gladly say that i hate cops... This girl didnt do anything to the cop i think he was racially profiling her and i think he should loose his badge and go to jail for assaul on a minor but cops are ABOVE the law so shit thats not gonna happen. Cops get away with DUIs in my town to its a joke. BIGGEST GANG IN THE USA

Wow...

I would hope his days as a law enforcement officer are over.

What a pussy ass cop. Then they wonder why so many people hate them.

Then there is defence lawers... what exactly is misleading in that video? She kickes a shoe at you, pick it up and throw it back at her. Thats it.

Scenario 1: Girl-My shoes are actually a bomb and if I kick them at you, you could die and I will escape you pig ****!

Scenario 2: Cop-Bitch I swear to God if you kick your shoes at me one more time like you did I will make sure you don't do it again!

Girl- **** you! *kicks shoes again*

Either way, the cop had to do what he had to do.

You wonder why the sound is gone? Hmm.. what if she had mouthed off after kicking the shoes off and said that her family would kill the officer when they found out she had been arrested? That'd be a hell of a threat, but there's no sound, so we don't know. And when they put her on the ground she looks to be resisting. Don't we see this all the time with men who get arrested? They resist, they get beat up or tazed. Simple. Hard to make a CLEAR judgement if there is no sound.

Also, wasn't she arrested for STEALING A CAR?! Here's what should have happened... when the owner of the car saw her trying to bust into his personal private property and drive away with it, he should have just blasted her with a shotgun and then this police officer would have NEVER been in this situation to begin with.

And some of you will think I'm a terrible person for thinking this, but you can't say you wouldn't want to kill someone who stole your car, even if it was a 15 year old girl. Race and Age do NOT play a part when a crime is committed, sorry.

Went back to bed and wife asks if I'm going to call the cops, :??: I told her why? Honestly there is no point, I was just happy I didn't have to unload the mossberg. :-D

I'm sorry, but even if she threatened to kill his family, the response was a little overboard. You don't uphold the law by doing what he did.

I wouldn't kill someone if I caught them stealing my stuff. I would beat them within inches of death. That way they would always remember not to **** with my shit.

A good beating sure. But not murder. Also it was not the cops car. And even if she was mouthing off, its a 15yr old girl with no weapons. If you saw a random guy beating up a 15yr old girl you'd probably jump in there and help her out.

Police need to be held to a higher standard, not above the law standard. They should be the example.

I don't know what happened, but that video seemed wrong, no matter what she may have said. And even if she did threaten his life, well, beating her up won't help his case much now would it?

edit: I don't know how some of you value life so little. Killing someone for something replaceable is unacceptable. 1 life is worth more than all the cars in the world.

I bet those teens won't try it again. Some times a respectful warning is the best.

That cop is going to jail.

I'm not saying what he did was completely correct. But without the sound you can't make a full judgement. I've spent about 12 hours riding with a local police officer, and even on normal days, some of the abuse they take builds and builds. I think the girl was just the tip of the iceberg that sent him over the edge.

Ok phyco. You would kill someone for stealing your car??? Are you serious? I think a life is a little more important then a car.
And who cares if the girl threatened him? hes a cop. He should be able do deal with threats. Thats what a judicial system is for. I do not need to hear the sound for it to be clear that this guy was on a power trip and used exessive force.
Seems to be way to easy for anyone to be a cop nowadays.

Oh yeah I almost forgot. Where does the "protect and serve" part come in??

Cops put up with a lot of verbal abuse for sure, but having a bad day does not justify how he handled her.
