interesting on the needle lighting. I asked them specifically about that after I saw so many with the silver bezels and the red reflects so much off them, almost blinding. And speedhut said it isn't separate.

either way, with the black bezel, there is no where near the reflection of the red than with the silver.

what color scheme are you gauges?

for terminators

silver face, black lettering, I think the Euro font matches best
green El glow
red needle
red SVT logo

IMO, the black bezel looks amazing compared to the silver. no need to worry about the reflection of the red off the bezel or anything with the black.

I just ordered the speedhut boost and fuel pressure gauges. They should look like the first pictures of the gauges but for night I've ordered the green numbers with a black background, red needles and the chrome bezels.

I also ordered one of their new shift lights. They look sweet and have a wire to hook into your light switch so the brightness adjusts for night time. I'm working on a mounting to go with my gauge pod selection. I'll keep you posted. By the way - these are my Christmas presents.

Revolution. You can PM him and he can order for you. He knows exactly what to order to match the factory ones.

Revolution is what most go with. I had one person ask for the speedhut series. the customizing can be done to all of them. The revolution series has the setable warning light and peak recall on some of them.

you have to customize them on the site to see them, there is no direct link for the "Terminator" setup.

I think I have only seen one posted on here with the snake. it looked fine, but most want the SVT to match the stock gauge.

they are expensive, but worth it imo. you won't find another company that makes them match as close as speedhut.

so you don't have to burp the system when you refill coolant?

Yes, you burp the system when you refill the coolant via the crossover tube where the burp plug was...easy as cake...people make it out harder than it really is....fill up with car off and the crossover tube....start car, wait for thermostat to kick in...fill up more

also, the needles don't light up. I asked this. They illuminate because of the dial illuminating. Then it reflects off the silver bezel making it look like they are very bright and like the needles light up.

I have been using the black bezel on my customers cars and my car. I think it looks a lot better with blending into the pillar more and not as "flashy". I think they just look much better with the black and because of that, the reflection is not nearly as bright as you see in the pics with the silver bezel.

E-Mail from Aaron at Speedhut
HI Brad,

You can dim the pointers by placing a couple resistors in line on the white pointer wire. If you place 2, 1/4watt, 1000 ohm resistors in parallel on white pointer wire it will dim the pointer LEDs quite a bit. You can get them at radio shack.

Let me know how it goes.

Aaron

Hey Guys,I have 3 of your revolution 2-1/16'' guages in my 03 Cobra, love them.I and some of the other members on SVTP Forum have wondered if there`s a way to just dim the needles w/o dimming the guage lighting.Any ideas would be great.

Thanks,

Brad

ive got the speedhut boost and oil press gauges, same design and everything, my only issue is that i don't have the green face of the gauge light up, just the red? at night i can see the needle but cant see the gauge face at all... any idea what needs to be hooked up? previous owner did the install.
