Complete Horsepower by Herman 4r70w conversion for sale. This setup has extremely low miles. I purchased the car with the setup already installed (by Herman), and the tranny was freshened by PA 500 miles before I purchased it.

I have put 200 miles on the car---mostly street miles. I have locked the converter 4 times under WOT. Everything is perfect-----runs @ 160-170 degrees in the heat of the summer. 4 passes at the track-----best pass was a [email protected] w/ 1.41 60ft.

The car drives like a dream with this setup----cruises @ 1500rpm on the hwy in OD (3.55's in the back).

Includes------

PA super comp 4r70w ---manual valve body w/ transbrake & deep aluminum pan
PI 9.5" multi disc lock-up converter (HBH spec)
Custom Chromoly Driveshaft
Crossmember
SFI flexplate (Expired)
Trans cooler & Lines

SOLD TO TYLER----

You will need a shifter. I bought the car with a stock GT auto-shifter, and installed a B&M Pro Ratchet. The stock shifter broke when I was taking it out of the car.

If anyone is local to me (St. Louis), the setup is available to drive. It is still in the car, and will be removed when I have a committed buyer. It's a great setup----if it doesn't sell, I'm keeping it in there.

Do any computer mods need to be made for an 03/04 Cobra? I thought you had to run a Mach ECU or something like that to do this swap? Or is there some kind of stand alone system you can run?

I am running a stock 03-04 computer. It's a manual valve body----so the ecm doesn't really know the difference.

You wire up the reverse lights, lock-up, transbrake, overdrive etc. on switches----just like any other car.

I am using a B&m Pro ratchet shifter---which is great. It "ratchets" back into place after you shift (spring loaded). There are also "gated" shifters like the Quarter-stick. These actually move forward like the stock shifter.

I like the Ratchet (edit) shifter, because you can mount it up similar to the 6 speed handle (with the stock boot over it). I've even seen guys put the 6 speed knob on there.

There is a great write-up on the 4r70w swap over on Modfords. It walks you step-by-step through the whole process.

AWESOME. Perfect.

Ah, geez.

What stall is in there now?

It is a Hermann spec'd PI 9.5" multi-disc converter. They call it a "4200" but that is closer to what it flashes.

It will foot-brake about 2500-3000 and t-brake 3500 or so. That is with my current motor (3.4 Whipple @ 25psi). It was a little tighter with my old 2.4 KB and stock motor.

It drives like a 2k stall around town---the trans. doesn't get hot at all.

Dam I wish I had some extra loot laying around. I've always wanted an automatic in my Cobra. I'm going to Vegas in a couple days, if I come home with the $2g's (or more preferably ;-) ) I'm going with, I might be hitting you up on this.

Tyler make sure you keep us updated on how that thing works out. If you do the work yourself, take some pics if you can. Congrats on an awesome set up too!
