3k tops ... I would buy Tims car long before I even thought about spending 6k on that heap.

Not for nothing, but what qualifies that as a "heap". I actually know the owner of that car, and it is in good condition. I would like to know what gives you the right to call the car trash, if you don't like the price then thats one thing. Calling the car junk, is just down right disrespectful.

The fox bodys have been increasing in value over the past 2-3 years. Nice examples are getting harder to find. I would have to look closer at that one, but, if it has never been wrecked and is a good clean driveable model, I don't see why 5K would be to much. All the mods would have to be thoroughly done, with good attention to detail.

+1 They are going up in price and this seems to be a good example. I'd have to see it in person but if it is as clean as it looks should fetch $4,500 - 5K.

I was just about to suggest that. I think about getting another fox from time to time, but then I remember how flimsy they are. Ride quality of the SN95 is light years ahead of the fox.

My SN95 is at Custom Speed and Sound right now receiving new lifters and most likely new roller rockers.

BTW- Jason, I settle on the house tomorrow, soon I'll be ripping on the streets of Westminster. lol

In stock form, I will agree with the "flimsy" comment. Almost every older car in stock form is not the best performing machine, or up to par with "todays" standards. Thats why you build the car to your specifics, and how you want a car to perform. For racing, I would take a foxbody platform over a sn95 platform any day of the week. I had the choice to either turbo my terminator, or build my 88 notch. I chose to build my notch, cause I am into drag racing. And my notch's chassis and platform is far more suited for my purposes then my terminator is.

Buying and selling 5-6 foxes a year ... yeah I have no clue. I would not let a fellow MACA member get ripped like that. Any fox with a stock motor/trans is not worth any more than 4 I don't care whats done to it (and this better be a very nice piece for that kind of money).

The quart of oil in the rear seat might be a sign of things?

Looks really clean tho!

Yeah the oil pan gasket is leaking a bit. The car has a windage tray so getting that pan off to replace the gasket isn't that simple of a task. It's not leaking all that bad so I just make sure it's always topped off.

Understandable, that is your personal opinion on the price. I agree with you on the price, but calling the car a "heap" I don't think is justified.

Racingjunk is good stuff. lol

I can't see the pics of this thing, but I was thinking it was an LX. I would not pay much for a GT.

IMO the only Fox that is worht big bucks anymore are the LX notchbacks.
