Here's the vin - per my paperwork when I purchased and sold the car it received a "rebuilt" title in the state of Alabama. Vin # 1facp42dopf137310 - When I sold the car I was an auto dealer at the time - of course I still have all of my records.

I am pretty sure Josh knew about the rebuilt title. Obviously cause you (asusmilinbob) sold the car to him. I dont understand how someone can sell the car without letting people know the truth about it. This tells you alot about a person. Carfax doesnt lie and its good to see someone shedding the light about the history of this car. I dont think Josh wouldve had a problem selling the car even with a rebuilt title for $7000. Now that people think he is being dishonest, it feels like he is hiding something bad about the car...in this case its the rebuilt title. If I had to take a guess, I think Josh was trying to get a new title issued (which he did) in WV so it wouldnt show a rebuilt title and get the car sold quick. Again, its almost imperative to get a carfax now a days to avoid stuff like this.

1993 Cobra 91k Red/Gray cloth

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm selling my 93 Cobra. Car is red with gray cloth & a moonroof. I'll post a few pics here asap. The car has a salvage title issues in the mid 90s. Overall I'd get the interior an easy 8 of 10, and the exterior paint a 5 of 10 or so. This Cobra is the perfect driver...I've been driving it every day for the past few months or so. It could use a few upgrades and the tires are so so...but like I said its the perfect car for someone that wants a 93 Cobra and cant afford shelling out the big bucks for an original low mileage example. I can give you the full scoop over the phone or via email. If you're interested in the car call me at 864-616-3727 or drop an email this way to [email protected]. The vin is - 1facp42d0pf137310 and the cars located in western, nc (35 miles or so south of Asheville). Price is 6500 firm. Thanks all.

Many states are not reciprocal with each other so it is easy to "wash" titles. I did it back in the day LA to TX, when I sold the car the guy knew what he was getting. I have also had this done to me the other way, clean title, went to register it in my state and they branded it, not a salvage title, but not good.

I could tell in the pics it has been hit, still doesn't mean it is a bad deal or a bad car. $7K is cheap and you may get another clean title in your state.

No doubt. I have bought and sold many cobras, I was upfront about all of them (they were all in just about perfect condition). This guy was obviously trying to scam people. Just for being dishonest I wouldn't touch this car, I don't care what a good or not good deal it is. I hate people like this.

Not trying to scam a single person, it's called not knowing the complete history of the car. If you don't want it thats fine and as far as hating people like me it's a good thing I could care less what you think.

If this guy doesn't deserve a permanent BAN, I don't know who does!!! In the post above mine he says he didn't know the complete history, yet the guy that sold him the car on THIS website clearly stated that the car was a salvage title. F' Off SCUMBAG!!

Deserve a permenant ban for what, not knowing that even though I have a clear title that it means its not really a clean title. He said it had an accident but I was not aware of a salvage title as I had a clean title. It's called a mistake and I'm glad to see you've entered the Honda camp with the internet tough guy routine.

Yes the lost title is clean as well. I didnt really have enough knowledge to not know that even though a title says it's clean that it can really be otherwise.

just because you registered it in a different state doesnt mean it automatically comes with a clean title, why everyone is mad is because you actually think it has a clean title? according to carfax it has a salvage title therefore it will always have a salvage title. Face it
