Reviving this old thread:

Selling my 1998 Cobra 2004 conversion.

Project conversion took about 4 months mostly working on it on the weekends only. We spared no expense and really didn't take any shortcuts. Everything on the car for the exception of the chassis, seats and dash was converted to an 04 Cobra. The chassis is an actual 98 Cobra chassis.
We rewired the entire car from the front headlights, engine compartment, interior wiring, along with the matching computer to the matching digital speedo cluster, which shows the actual engine mileage. The rear wiring is from the 04 donor, along with the fuel tank and emissions canister.
The car has cold AC along with the 04 Cobra Radio/CD console. The switches are functional and operational, which include the defrost, along with the fog lights (need to be installed), and the TRAC system which was disable during tuning.

04 Cobra Engine:
Stock block and heads
Unported Eaton
ACCUFAB "Big Oval" Throttle Body and Plenum
QC" 2.75 dia. BLOWER Pulley Kit
GEN X Auxiliary Idler Pulley Kit
GOODYEAR Gatorback Belt
C&L TRUEFLOW INLET PIPE
NGK V-Power Spark Plugs

Tuner:
Diablo Sport Predator (tune by DiabloSport)

471 TQ / 461 HP

Cooling:
LFP Extreme Dual Pass Heat Exchanger

Exhaust:
Bassani X-Pipe (off-road)
Magnapacks w/ 04 Cobra IRS pipes

Fuel:
Fuel rails - stock
Injectors - stock
1/2" fuel line in a Returnless system
-8AN fuel feed line
Stock Fuel Pumps (I have the Ford GT pumps, but they need to be installed along with the FPDM's)

Drivetrain:
T-56 transmission built by Promotion with a 26 spline input shaft
King Cobra Clutch w/ Promotion Quadrant Clutch adjuster
04 Cobra IRS with Full Tilt Boogie Racing Bushings
Ford Racing Aluminum Driveshaft

Suspension:
Griggs Racing Aluminum K-Member
Koni DA Struts
Steeda caster/camber plates
04 Cobra Stock Rear Shocks
Cobra PBR Brakes w/ Baer Eradispeed Rotors

93K Current mileage on the engine and Trans

Car is located in So. Florida and I'm looking for $10,500 - Cash ONLY No Trades

The bad: Car needs a stock front bumper cover which has the droop and cracked, definitely needs a paint job, heat exchanger has a small leak and one of the hangers broke, drivers side seat has a tear on the left from coming in and out, steering feels hard which may be a couple of things, but needs to be addressed.

Car is parked and only turned on the weekends for warm up.

2004 Cobra Conversion
Black-on-Black 1998 Cobra (body has approximately 110,000 miles) was converted to 2004 Cobra Terminator combo in Spring of 2006. The new donor car had 14,000 miles at the time. Current mileage for new combo is 34,000 miles.

Car made 461 HP and 471 TQ on Diablosport dyno (Tuned by Scott Beer)

Every bit of wiring harness from the 2004 was used - the entire car. Every connector, sensor, speedo, and accessory was changed. Interior remains stock 1998 except for 2004 Dash and center console.

Pictures and details here: http://www.inertiasport.com/2004-cobra-conversion-for-sale-1998-svt-cobra/#more-25

We've got hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars in this project. It will cost you approximately $30,000 in parts and labor to build this yourself. Asking $18,350. Car is located in South Palm Beach County, FL.

Will it really???....Lets be a little more honest ok:poke:

No, I currently do not have underbody pics, and it is still a live axle with a Torsen R2 w/ .355 pinion gears.
