Not a bad trap for pretty basic mods. I have been wanting to do the some motor mods to our 08 auto. What rpm does it put 70mph at in top gear?

Sorry...been so busy with my IROC Trans Am Racecar that I havent had time to get online. I still say 4.10s are too much in the automatic for an everyday car that sees highway driving. The overdrive in the stick cars seemed better suited..not sure what the overdrive ratio difference is. I mainly have mine for fun around town and at the track. My Shelby GT500 was great with 4.10s and the 6 speed stick...but I also had 28 inch tall tires.

For drag racing mostly...4.10's
For highway and some fun drag racing once in awhile...3.73's

Tell me more about this JDM Auto trans tank... what does it do? How much does it cost? Will it help my Auto trans?

Thanks!

This is the catch can mounted on the firewall next to the battery that you can see in my photos in this thread. Its to catch the overflow of the automatic transmission fluid. And then on cool down the fluid flows back into the trans. Ford has it setup with a hose that brings the overflow ontop of the trans and just drips all over the trans and exhaust. This overflow happens more often on automatic cars that are tuned to have more line pressure in the trans for firmer shifting.

Went to Atco tonight....Car still isnt 60 footing well. (MT Drags stick big time too) But it did go its best of 13.06 at 106. 1.96 shortime this time..better than 2.08's. Came out on first run at 2100 on the stock convertor..went 13.25 at 105....then after sitting in lanes for quite some time. Due to so many ricers breaking and spreading crap all over the track. Next run I came out at 1500 and thats when I turned my 13.06. I should have put the smaller power steering bypass belt on for that run. Might have seen a 12.90 then. My reaction time was a .196. Car ran good.....alittle surging still up top. But thats my last run with this setup. More mods/new tune go in on Monday at JDM.

Harry, I will put my paycheck on it that if you get a converter from us at PTC that car will be in the 12.20's or 30's.....Not bragging or anything, I have a guy in Louisiana that is running one of our converters, he was running 12.80's just like you...with 4.10's as well, he then put in one of our converters and went 12.20's...he then sprayed 100 with our converter and went 11.80's...Give us a call 256.383.6868.....Note, I make nothing off of our sales...I am just looking out for those wanting faster cars....

Thanks,
Chris McGuire
