I have the blessing of the higher-ups to ask SVTP members to submit photos for use on a Cobra-R poster.

Normally, I ask for only photos of bone stock cars for my projects (I admit I am a purist), but not this time. I'm swinging the doors wide open. Send me all your Cobra-R photos - stock, modded, on track, whatever, as long as it's an R (and not wrecked or on fire). I have a VERY CRUDE mockup below, but don't assume the final product will look like this - there are over 1000 photos on this mockup, I got a little carried away.

Photos can be emailed to me at [email protected] if you do not want to post them here.

Photos don't have to be super high resolution, but the bigger the photo you send, the nicer the poster will be. It will take me a while to gather all I need and get the whole thing together and printed, so give me some time. ;-)

Poster size will be either 22x28 or 24x36.
It will be printed in full color on a commercial printing press, I'm not running these in my office on an inkjet printer, it will be the real deal, an officially licensed product (pending Ford approval of course).
The price will depend on how many I print and what size, so I can't put a price on it yet but I'm not looking to gouge anyone.
Who knows, if this works out well, maybe we'll do a all-inclusive SVT poster as well. Stay tuned. In the mean time, let's see if we can make this Cobra-R poster happen! Thanks!

Marcie - I have sent you two pix via email from the Mustang Enthusiast feature on my 95 and 00R's, before I bought my 93R. The picture below is one of them. I have had many requests for this picture. Many use it as a desktop on their PC.

Best photo ever! You need to do a new photo shoot with all 3 cars Robert!
Thanks!

Thanks M!! and Scott

I do stay in touch with the person who did the photoshoot. Actually he is the chief editor for a Corvette magazine (I will not name the title). He has mentioned that "if" I want him to shoot all three R's, he will be happy to do it, but I am dragging my feet, I have not made it a priority. It takes just the right setting, and just the right sun to get the right photo, "usually" that takes hours. It did with this photoshoot.

Yes, those are orange trees in the background. That grove has now been replaced with a housing development, sad.

Here was the other picture. The guys on the SN95 forum really like this pix, most say they now have it on their desktop................

that is the best one ever, robert!

marcie, you can follow the link in my signature to a whole bunch of photos of all 3 of my "not so stock anymore" cobra R's that I have hosted on superford....if they show the hosting site's watermark, I can remove that for you....the 93R and 95R were both career race cars, and the 00R is my track car and sunday cruiser :coolman: :-D ;-)

What you're seeing is the lack of the rubber weather stripping that is between the fender and headlight but just a gap between the hood and headlight. It's sort of an optical illusion.

But to be honest with you, it's a car, not a form of art! :poke::p

Yes, the hood, at that time was up a little on the passenger side. This is the way it was delivered to the dealership as shown in the car carrier pictures that were taken as the car was unloaded. At the level this photo was taken it looks much worse than it actually was. I guess that is part of the fit and finish on some cars since they have a non production fiberglass hood. I was able to do some adjusting (hood bumper) and get the hood to line up better, but it was after this photo was taken. Another 2000 Cobra R hood issue that I found.......when it was colder weather, the hood did not latch properly on the main latch, it would latch on the secondary latch, but was hard to get completely shut. This also required some additional adjustment of the latch assy. which was also done after this photo.

interesting alright thanks. i was just curious i wasnt trying to ruin that great photo or try to point out flaws. when a car looks that good its a form of art but i wasnt saying the car should be perfect if it came from the dealer that way cool its fiberglass it happens to alot of hoods. anyway when these photos are made onto a poster how many are gonna be made and for what svt staff or public?
