Any updates from people running restrictors and possibly the scavenger pump from turbowerx. I'm about to put this on my car to see if I can stop the smoking. Just wondering if anybody else has done this and the results. Any help or advice would be awesome. Thanks

I just got the Turbowerx Exa-pump installed, with ~0.050" restrictors (Function7, look 'em up on eBay) on both turbos. I am very impressed with the pump and Mark at Turbowerx will help you every step of the way. You'll need at least a 30A relay and a 10-15A inline fuse, as well.

Ok the results .............no smoke under full boost! I have residual smoke at idle because I think I'm still burning off the old stuff from before the pump installation, but so far I love it.

That sounds awesome, do you have any pics of your set up or maybe a small write up on how you routed everything. Thanks for posting and letting me know how it has worked for you.

Yeah, I'll try and post some pics this weekend. The bracket used to mount the pump is a one-off piece fab'd by my dad; only way to get it mounted on my car.

Wow man, the bottom of your car was so gunked up with oil. I'm helping Jason change the oil pan and redo some of your lines and fittings. It'll be nice to see the underside all clean and organized.

Your car looks amazing btw with all the black.

haha thanks. not going to go into details on here about why it was leaking so bad. Thanks for your help ...and for the springs, which have yet to be installed (obviously)

yeah that canton is pretty sweet looking!

hey any way to take some pics of Jason's work so I can post up the new setup here? I don't get to pick it up until next weekend at the earliest; Stinger catback install ('bout time I got 'em back on there) if not, don't worry about it.

I also used the function 7 restrictors and my smoke cleared up about 90%. I still get some smoke out of the drivers side occasionally.

sorry for the delay, just picked up the car Saturday. Aeroquip line (-8an for inlets and -10an for single outlet). Everything seems to be working, as the H-pipe had mostly condensation rather than oil after about 450mi. :rolling: Thanks to TRBO VNM, flowgoode, sunburned, 01lowboy and whoever else had their hands in there during the oil pan swap!

Looking up at pump/bracket (custom); bracket is mounted in three places (radiator support, frame, and motor). Right side is pump inlet, left side is pump outlet.

Thank you for posting your pics, gives me some ideas on how to do mine. Now if I could just get HP to send the turbo back:bored:

I called them today to ask about my leaky turbos and they said Nate would call me back when he got in ......never did, and he never does. Plus their emails don't ever work for me. I'm just going to keep bugging them.

came out very nice Chris. I was pretty pleased how the socketless line really blends in under there. I did the best I could with cleaning all the wet areas from all the damn oil that leaked out. good thing you have undercoating on the car so a lot of it blends it. it just needs a rag with some brake clean on it and wipe things down a little more. the pan looks good.
