Good Day All:

Just a quick note to invite any road course drivers out there to join MVP Track Time for track days in 2008. You can find us at www.MVPTrackTime.com. We are open to all makes of cars and convertibles that meet the rules.

Our 2008 track days (so far) are as follows:

April 21 - Putnam Park (Near Indianapolis) [Tax Freedom Track Day]
May 9 - Summit Point (West Virgiania) [Private Corporate Event]
June 2 - Autobahn Country Club (Near Joliet, IL.)
August 18 - Autobahn Country Club
September 13 & 14 - Blackhawk Farms (Near Beloit, WI) [Our 1st Weekend Event]

Both Autobhan dates are once again the entire 3.56 mile road course. None of this namby-pamby 1/2 track stuff. We will be announcing at least one more track day or weekend for 2008 soon.

Happy Motoring and I'll see you at the track!

Is there any chance you might open up single day registrations for Blackhawk Farms?

It's the weeekend before the annual SCMC Gingerman event and might be tough for me to swing two consecutive 2-day weekends at the track.

I would be interested in more info on the Lindsey Caddy event at Summit Point. Wondering if that's the same weekend SVTOA's On Track will be there, it's usually 1st or 2nd weekend of May.
Have to see when Brian's holding it this year. Maybe I can achieve my dream of running on 2 of the 3 circuits at Summit in one weekend. :D

I always enjoy Putnam Park as it's a fun, safe facility offering plenty of speed and a challenging drive as well.

I just may have to experience Autobahn this year.

Lumpy as long as we can avoid inclimate weather like we had in 2007 (don't ask), Autobahn's full course is a great track. The seperate tracks, not so much. One small issue, the only day the full 3.56 mile track can be rented is on a Monday.

Honestly we haven't given a one-day registration for Blackhawk much thought because many MVP Track Time clientele have been begging us to do a full track weekend. Let me kick it around to see if we can make it work.

Happy Motoring!

Just saw this post. I may also be interested in doing 1 day at Blackhawk, and could probably get at least 2 other SHO people to come along.

What are your guy's rules for passengers? I dont think I want to drive at Autobahn quite yet, but would definetly like to take a few laps as a passenger. I live only about 30 minutes away. Could I come hang out for the day, or would I have to be registered to run on the track?

Contact me at [email protected] regarding a single day at our Blackhawk Farms event.

Guests are welcome at all MVP Track Time track days, at no charge! If you are riding as a passenger on the track, you must be at least 18 years of age, wear long pants and long sleeve shirt and have an SA2000 or newer helmet.

I hope to see all of you at an MVP Track Time track day this year. Happy Motoring!

Hi All:

With only 2 months until our first 2008 track day at Putnam Park (near Indy), we are well over 1/2 full. If you'd like to join us for Putnam Park or any other MVP Track Time track day in 2008, visit www.MVPTrackTime.com.

Happy Motoring and I hope to see you at the track!

Are trucks welcome? I've been running into trouble finding clubs that will allow us. If so I may make Putnam depending on how much money I have around at the time. If I can make it I will probably be a later entry.

If you find an SVTOA On Track near you, they welcome Lightnings.

Yup and so does SCMC and I think the BMW and Porsche clubs do as well. But those are the only ones I have come up with so far. Everybody else I have asked has turned me down. I also heard a rumor from a pretty reliable source that Gingerman was very hesitant to let Lightnings run there last summer regardless of the organization it was with. So I'm still waiting to see how this all plays out since from what I have understood it is mainly a problem with the insurance companies so we'll see if they screw me into finishing my car quicker in order to get some track time.

I'm sure if you want to hang out with the Taurus car club or any of the SHO events no one would have a problem with it. Theres a guy around me that has a sonic blue Lightning. Also, there was one at Gingerman when I was there last september with SCMC

I will keep that in mind, where do I look to see their event dates? I'm definitely interested. Especially if I can find a club that goes to Grattan since that track is only 15 minutes from my house.

I only visited the SCMC event last year. I don't know who the other Lightning was, don't really remember them being there I guess:shrug: I didn't have the money to drive since I had just bought my house in July:( I had to at least come hang out and drink some beer with my friends though:thumbsup: I may make it this year as long as it doesn't coincide with my other obligations for the summer.

Cause you guys are always trying to "farm" the land! ;-):poke::p

Hey now, I've only went grass dragging once at Gingerman, Putnam is a different story though:lol1: The other Lightning that went off at Gingerman was Cliff and he was showing off for a younger woman:p:banana::pepper:
