Well i have had the car like 3 months now, and i have been babying it since it only had 3500 miles on it when i got it. So today coming home from work i notice a new mustang GT coming up on me fast. So i followed him and we eventually found open road. We went from like a 20 punch, he got the hit and i started gaining then we both hit second. I had some wheel spin but when i cought i flew by him, I had like 2 cars and was still pulling but we had to let off do to an upcoming turn. It was cool, he asked if i had a blower.ha ha, i am stock besides MGW, and O/R h-pipe, i still have the factory air filter in this thing. Cool guy and a good race!

I drive on the highway way everyday with my 4.30s.
NO regrets.
Even at 80 mph, it's only turning 3000 rpm's.

Yes, 2900 is high for a 3.73.

To the OP, nice kill. That's unbelieveable that you only have 3500 miles on that thing. It's basicaly a drivers race with a S197, which is kind of crazy, but times change. You should decide RIGHT NOW if you want to stay N/A or get crazy with it. Learn from my experiences.

Either get some C heads now, or go with a Vortech or Procharger. Don't fart around with gears, or other bolt-ons. Especialy with the iron that's about to come out from Dodge and GM. You will break more things and spend more money and really not get what you want from bolt-ons on these cars. Really, even C heads aren't the most "economical" way of doing it, but they are better N/A and they give you a lot more options along the way.

Good choice:D I was very hesitant to put one on my car but now i'd hate to be without it. Can't wait till my Xcal comes and I can get a decent tune.
How much boost are you running? Intercooler? Have you gotten numbers yet?

Nice kill to the OP.

Boost gauge still not hooked up and no intercooler. I am also in no mans land as far as a dyno goes so i'm going by seat of the pants feeling and a Vortech tune right now. The car is running strong but is running out of fuel in the top end. So I am going to be upgrading my fuel pump[getting rid of the stocker and booster] upgrading to #42 injectors and getting a intercooler this winter. I also hope to have that T1 wing installed:-D
