Im going to go with a ported blower, 4lbs lower, 3.2 alt. pulley, and I don't know if I should go with a 3.1 upper or 2.93 upper, My tuner said that I should go with the 3.1 because the 2.93 will over spin my eaton and that there will be like a 5 HP difference between the 3.1 and the 2.93!!!

What do you guys think:shrug:

2.93 with 4# lower and port = the sex! You wont be disappointed and will not over spin the blower, you will have the best combo there is!

Yea I have heard nothing but good things also, but my tuner told me that he done several dyno tunes on that combo and that the blower would over spin, (keep in mind that my car is basically almost like a daily driver and i want to be safe!!)

Okay I guess I'll go with the 2.93, what belt size would I need for no belt slipage on a non-slip BF 2.93 upper, metco 4lbs. lower, BF 4 piece idler pulley set up, and a 3.2 alt. pulley

The stock blower is going to be technically "overspun" with just the 4lb lower according to Eaton's specs. Go ahead and do a 2.93", hell as long as you have adequate cooling mods go with a 2.75" upper.

ok guys.... questions... i just got back from the dyno.. and, a lil disapointed.. but, i think theres a reason. My mods include: steggy blower with plenium and tb, bassini catback, jlt cai, predator with mafia adaptor. BEFORE the steggy, i made 429whp with a 2.8 pulley. now with ported blower, retune and a 2.8 pulley (suposedly) i made 445whp. am i just crazy for thinking it shoulda been more? we hooked up a boost gauge and the car would barely touch 12lbs. ?? shouldnt it be more? I trust my tuner, does a awsome job and ive seen him work magic on cars. (some of my old ones included) I also dropped a size in the belt when i did the blower. Checked for leakes, changed plugs, helll even washed it... im trying not to tell myself i got ripped off.. but... i dunno any help?

Does the boost hit and stay there or does it hit and then fall at high rpm? You may have belt slip...with stock manifolds and stock midpipe you should be seeing 14 psi

it will spike at like, 11lbs, and barely creep to 12 at about 4400-4500rpm, then fall off around 6100rpm. i dont think its belt slip, or else the mass would go nucking futs...

I really think i didnt get the right pulley with the steggy... and body have a 2.8 pully that can use a set of measuring calipers to mic out there puley to compare?

go with gates...thats what steggy recomended. and as far as the combo, 2.93 and 4# is the best bet but a 2.8 and 4# wont dissapoint also...except your traction:rolling:

how would just the 2.93 upper and 4 lbs. lower go, would it be too much for a non ported blower???, I have my dyno tune comming in a week (29th of this month) I might not have enough time to install the blower and all the pulleys!!! I should get my blower back on Friday of the upcomming week!!!
