Got a 2yr old who needs a power wheel.

Any suggestions? Lot of shit on Amazon. Looking at ones with remotes so I can keep her from getting run over.

We got my son this for his 2nd birthday, he's getting ready to be 5 this year. It still works well, just make sure you get the 24V or you'll be doing the Milwaukee upgrade in time

24V is the way to go, we have a 24V Grave Digger we got for my son that he loves. Our yard is slopped and it does well uphill in the grass. Battery lasts a good while too, my dad followed him around on the golf cart one day on their property for over 2 miles and he still didn't need a charge. It's slow setting is 12V 1-wheel drive and fast is 2wd 24V.

That being said 2 y/o is probably a little young for the 24V, maybe get something cheap to start and upgrade later on?

Damn, all this 24V battery operated stuff must be nice. When I was a kid you either had to have your friend push you or it had to be pedaled in order to move LMAO!!!!

Now if you were rich or well off you got something that had a 2.5 HP Tecumseh engine mounted to it. ROFLMAO!!!

The hell you say! My 2-year old wheels his John Deer 24v conversion like hes Ken Block reincarnated.
Did have to put a bag of pennies in the front to keep the wheelies down though. LOL

I bought the dual motor 12v bronco for my son's 1st birthday. It didn't come with a remote and it was way to big for him at the time so I wired in a universal remote kit off Amazon. I wired in a second battery for a little more capacity and the only issue i have is the cheap remote kit blows the thermal fuse every now and then. Once he gets the hang of things ill swap everything back to factory and then to 24v eventually. Apparently this model is super easy to upgrade in the future when they get a little more comfortable.

One day, I found a free one on the side of the road, said it needed a new battery. So, I pick it up, slap an M18 on it, and watch my son go flying around the yard. I thought, man that's pretty neat, lets try two in series.

He was flying for the 20 seconds or so before the magic smoke let out. Oh well, lessons learned.

We had a tractor one and a 4 wheeler one for the young ones, and quickly got them on a 4 wheeler. First wheeler was a Tao Tao, which is low priced junk. The second is a Kayo, which is a much much nicer rig.

We have a 12V Dune Racer and 12V Jeep. When we just had the dune racer, I bought a 12V LiFeP04 battery because the original was lucky to go 20 minutes and took 18 hours to charge. The new battery lasts over an hour and recharges in 2 hours.

The Jeep I got for free because the shifter was “broken.” Took it apart, everything looked fine, put it together and off we went! Noticed it was more sluggish than the dune racer, so I ordered an 18V plug adapter to utilize my 18V Ryobi batteries. Huge improvement in both machines (especially the dune racer) and running in the middle of summer on 18V, kids burned the motors up, so I swapped to RS775 motors and no problems yet. With them, I can upgrade to a 24V battery setup, but the boss said no more modding… Both need new tires because they’ve spun them bald.

Between the two, the dune racer is easily the fastest on the same battery even though it has smaller tires. It is also much easier to drive, but might be a little too big for a 2yo. My 4yo was driving it when she was 3, but I had to put a pillow behind her to scoot her up.

Whatever you get, get an aftermarket battery from ML toys. Not just more speed but more importantly more run time and expected life from the battery. I put the extended run time battery on my son's Corvette which they say "adds a touch of speed" but I'm here to tell you it hauls me around (170lbs) around the yard like its nothing. Thankfully his car has a low and high forward gear because its too fast in high gear right now until he gets a little older.

The aftermarket battery is a must bc the stock ones die quickly
