Found the Mishimoto Oil Cooler for even cheaper this morning on Amazon. $290 shipped for the same kit i bought for $415 around a month ago. So going to try to return that one for this one and save even more money.

If not, ill put it for sale for $400 to recoup some money. Still happy i found it even cheaper.

Saved a bunch on the Mishimoto oil cooler.

Enough that it allowed me to look into brake kits. TCE is fabbing up a Wilwood kit for me using an 11.75" 2pcs GT casting rotor, 4 piston DSP caliper and their brackets/lines. Received my first box from Wilwood last week. Waiting on TCE for the brackets and lines. Should be unpacking everything in the next day or so to start assembly of the rotors.

Also, fixed the stupid blend door actuator again. Third times a charm! Wish Ford would find a better plastic to make them out of.

You can see the little sliver of a tooth laying in the actuator box after i opened it to see what actually broke.

You can see the tooth missing from the gear.

This little lifesaver thumbwheel wrench works insanely well to get into the location on the driver side through the lower steering shroud.

Finally got everything sorted hardware wise and started install of these.

TCE Performance brake kit to fit under 15" wheels. Uses alot of Wilwood parts and pieces with their brackets and lines. Fits absolutely perfect under the Dekagrams with room to spare.

11.75" GT Rotors w/ rotor rings
4 piston DSP calipers
TCE brackets and lines
BP30 pads to start(going to match my Porterfield R4 rears after this set is done)

The Willwood pieces look great on your FIST. Hoping they perform above and beyond your expectations, Kevin.

Did you already buy one? I'd imagine you're already running water wetter and a T-stat. I modded the grill for more air flow, which really only served to decrease mileage.

Water wetter but stock thermostat. Going through the replacement before a radiator seemed like a royal pain in the ass.

Car would last 17min before going into limp mode. So i could easily do a 15min session but the longer 20min sessions which i never really had to do in the past would put it over the 240F mark.

So far everyone ive seen do the grille shave has had issues. The factory grille opening isnt the issue, its the size of the radiator and the design of the oil cooler being looped through the cooling system that doesnt help. Mountune radiator is in a box along with a 160F thermostat and the Mishimoto oil cooler kit. Plan is to start this weekend on the installation of all 3.

I can’t recall if I had to remove the fan for the thermostat, or just the serp belt and alternator. Anyway, I only experienced over temp condition once - on the Nurburgring with my buddy (Formula Ford racer) driving.

Have fun with the radiator replacement.

Half way through the radiator replacement. Ran into the clips for the fan wiring harness/hood latch electrical connector. The little christmas tree clips with the zip tie all broke. Anyone know of a part number for them?

Mountune triple pass unit made by CSF. Absolutely flawless in construction and worth the money spent.

New bleed plug installed instead of trying to yank the old one.

New radiator in position.

Fan back in place.

Overall took me 2 hours or so across a week due to sickness, work, kids/school and family time. Without any disruptions I could probably swap it in an hour and a half.

Nice new radiator setup! I'm looking forward to hearing how you like the changes after your first track shakedown. (y)

Only a few weeks to go. Still need to install the oil cooler.

So far just doodling around town it barely wants to reach 180F. Ultra efficient.

New air filter. Was getting some funky MAF temperature readings. Car is MAP based but does have a MAF for inlet temp. Car felt down on power last week when bedding the brakes in so I used Forscan to watch the PIDs and found the MAF pegged at 175F and car was pulling timing.

Removed the MAF and cleaned it. Looked to have some K&N oil on it from the cotton swab.

Ended up not wanting to take a chance that it was the filter oil so I grabbed a replacement AFE Dry Flow filter. It’s nearly twice as thick as the K&N which kind of shocked me.

Swapped it in and plan is to drive it around to ensure MAF reading is correct and no timing pulled. Crossing fingers but have also ordered a MAF sensor from my local dealer to swap in just in case before my track day Thursday.

Welp, track day was a total fail.

First session car overheated. Like an idiot i didnt fully bleed the car enough and a massive air bubble popped up.

Second session i am pretty sure i blew the master cylinder. Going into turn 10 on Summit Main and the pedal went half way to the floor then to the floor. Ended my day after that with a spongy pedal and zero confidence the car would make another lap.

Radiator worked after it burped once i got back in the pits from session one. Didnt have any overheating issues on session two. So i think that worked itself out.
For the brakes, looked everywhere Saturday to find a leak or issues with the calipers or lines but couldnt find a single thing wrong with it. Worse is the fact that i went and drove the damn car and it felt fine! Stiff pedal and all. I assume that i pushed past a seal in the master during the track day with the heat that was being generated.

New OE Ford Master cylinder is on order. Should pick it up tomorrow from Ford. Bummer that it ended my day early. Plan is to replace master cylinder, get my brake ducts hooked up(thank you @cidasmuth for the WorFab backing plates), increase the size of the plate for my air deflectors(local machine shop) and go to a higher temp brake fluid(SRF or RBF700) to cover all bases.

Thankfully no other harm to the car, or to you. Losing brakes on the track is NOT fun!
