I had reached out to Nick for a an Explorer ST, but gave my local guy a chance. We were going back and forth on a 22 (they had 4 of them) when he became ill and was off for a couple days. A 2023 showed up wile he was off and we switched to that one. After a lot of back and forth, picked it up Saturday afternoon. Clincher was 36 months at 0%.

I have already reached out to Nick and thanked him for his help, I certainly think no less of him, please continue to send him your business.

Ford Is Paying Bronco Order Holders $2,500 to Buy Something Else

Story by Rob Stumpf • 2h ago

It seems like everybody and their mother wants a Ford Bronco nowadays. The Blue Oval's off-roader has been a hit since its revival, resulting in a year's wait or more for some loyal—and extremely patient—customers. Supply is still struggling to meet demand, and Ford is now willing to pay buyers $2,500 to cancel their Bronco order for something else.

They are cute. The majority I see are women driven, and they don't know how to acknowledge previous generations of broncos.

I haven't had any issues and I currently own 5 ford Vehicles. Can you give some examples of Shotting Craftsmanship from Ford? Serious question. not trolling.
Not even any recalls? I bought a new 2014 Explorer and it has been recalled for half a dozen different things. Just got another recall a couple weeks ago which I haven't addressed yet.

Sure but minor shit like:
windshield wiper motor on the F150.
Backup Camera on the ST.
Airbag on the 13 Shelby.

the only thing we initiated was the Backup camera and it just needed a new wiring harness..

Eh I've seen it. It's not any worse than the other manufacturers though.
Thats kinda what I was getting at...

In my opinion the quality has improved... Im sure you still get the occassional "Built on Friday" hunk of shit... but Ford has been FAR Better than the Mopars I owned in the early 2000s.

Sure.

2008 Mustang. 50K miles.
- Door panels fell off
- Convertible top literally unraveling
- tail light bulbs constantly failing
- t-stat housing continuously breaking
- Constant amp draw leading to 1 year battery life
- water leaks through front cowl and around rear top, soaking the carpet constantly.
- Rides like shit, shifts like a truck
- My god, the rust!
- Looking forward to selling or crushing this POS soon

2015 SHO 90K miles
- blend door failure
- significant seat wear
- Exterior panel gaps growing
- Windshield washer pump failed at 25K miles.
- sway bar end links replaced under warranty
-Exterior plastic panels falling off
- Mirror fogging under the glass
- heated seats reduced heating and getting slower
- I suspect my torque converter is failing
- Earned reputation of water pump, timing chains, turbos, ptu, rdu failures for lots of cars (but not mine yet)
- My god, the rust! Including the front seat frame, trunk lid, paint peeling under exterior plastic panels, rear bumper completely rotted out (Except for the brake rotors... They look brand new)
- 2-3 more years and this one will be sold

2016 GT350 15K miles
- body panel and bumper gaps growing in size that are unadjustable
- overall poor fit and finish inside and out, with lots of really cheap components
- Weird rusty parts for a car that's seen rain maybe 5 times
- Developing piston rattle, not sure what to do because dealer says it's "normal"
- Earned reputation of oil consumption and engine failures (so far mine is fine)
- I love driving this car, but cripes they could have done better.

I have a '66 mustang too. It runs and drives, but needs some TLC at 56 years old.

I've been a Ford guy my whole life, but I think I'm done buying Fords. The new S650 does not interest me. They can **** off with those flat touch ipad screens.

My new 22 mustang manual trans shifter rattles like hell from the shitty plastic 2-piece reverse lockout I suspect. Otherwise it seems like a well put together vehicle.

Unfortunately all vehicle manufacturers have issues. I work for Honda which people still think are king of reliability but I can’t count the number of a/c compressors, fuel injector sets, head gaskets, turbos, dash harness, entire floor harness, Audio Units, transmissions, piston rings the list goes on that I’ve replaced on cars well under 100k miles, a lot of those under 40-50k miles. Not to mention Honda thinks their parts are made of gold so everything is priced twice what a ford part costs.

At this point I figure buy what you like and hope for the best.

Jesus you guys are making me scared of buying a new car. I went out on a limb and bought a freaking Buick a few years ago. Over 150k and have only had it on once for a TSB. 2 sets of tires and plugs at 100k and that is it. Still on original brakes somehow. I don’t even like GM…

It’s not as bad as we make it out to be. Just pointing out every manufacture has issues, always has always will. My dealer sees 130-150 cars in service a day, so we are bound to see a lot of issues.

My 16 focus ST went 116k miles with regular oil changes and one check engine light fixed by a recall before I traded. My wife’s civic did 165k miles on fluid changes, filters, and I literally replaced the tires once and brake pads once. Original plugs even. Deer totaled it still running strong.

I've had about half a dozen recalls for rear toe link on our 13' Explorer Sport.
That's what mine is for. The notice stated that if I still lived in Las Vegas(my former residence until last year and the address Ford has on record) that I could ignore it. But if I lived or planned on taking the vehicle to where the roads are salted during winter months I need to get it done. I don't know if I will or not.

Ford has had some big issues recently. Current Explorer launch was terrible. 3.5 NA V6 engines with the internal water pumps failing taking out engines. 1.5L/1.6L/2.0L ecoboost engines with the slit open deck blocks flowing coolant into the cylinders taking out engines. Hoping my 19 Edge wont see that issue. Its bad enough when I open the rear doors they drop what seems like 3/8" inch, and nobody uses the back doors much. Everyone has issues, but Fords have been big. (edit forgot about the focus transmissions)

Out of my circle of friends and family, the ford f150 definitely have the most problems. Including my own 2.7 that had 3 leaking oil pans and ended up trading it in with a leaking driver side head gasket at 61k miles. Yep... Just outside the power train warranty with no help from ford.

Do you have a relationship with your Ford dealer? I guarantee I would get them to pay at least half of it, if not all of it.
