As the title states, I'm looking for first hand recommendations from those who have polished wheels and what you've used to bring them back to life. My wheels are in good condition, but theres some spots in the crevice's that I'd like to address and really want to bring them back to better than new condition because I can't buy these anymore and I don't want the traditionally chrome Saleen wheels. I have a mothers powerball and I've tried several metal polishes - while they definitely help with the shine, I want to go more aggressive in some areas. Anyone have any experience with bringing a set of ccw's or something back to life? I've done some research and came across this kit from zephyr's which look's pretty intriguing. Any help is appreciated!

Is it dirt or oxidation in the crevices? I've used a clay bar to help get rid of some dark spots. But I think it was just dirt build up I couldn't get out.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Theres some black and dull spots in some of the harder to get areas that both the powerball and elbow grease couldn't clean up good enough.

I purchased that exact kit for my car. Granted my wheels are brand new, but I tried to use Mother's polish and a Mother's polishing ball on one of my wheels and it left some hazing behind.

So, I did some research and found out about that Zephyr kit. I used it and got the hazing marks out. The only down side is this kit does not really fit into small spaces very well.

I would recommend you watch some YouTube videos on how to use the kit properly and I think you will be happy with the results. However, you will still need to figure out how to get into the crevasses of your wheel.

Post some pictures as clearly as you can. I bought some polished aluminum wheels that were severely neglected and had a lot of brake dust caked onto them. I hand polished them the best I could and they were "5 footers" until you looked closely. Eventually got them powder coated Super Chrome (more brushed look than shiny chrome) and that was the best thing I ever did.
