Built a "mini me"
That's awesome.
That's awesome.
I've wanted to get into model cars but the aspect of painting has held me back. How do you do it?

Nice!!! Looks close to the one I bought (salvage title) a couple of months ago to steal the Engine/Trans from and put in my 92 T-Top Coupe.
Paul, it would be cool if you could do silver bumper inserts. Looks awesome as it is, though. Just would be even better if the rear ends matched. This is an R/C car. The body is painted from the inside out.
So this one was sprayed in transparent metallic red, then silver over that, then a white over that to make sure it had a bright metallic finish to it.

Your government is lying to you
Was looking for a more "analog" drive, picked up this 1975 280Z... Manual steering, shifting, heck even the windows are manual!! LOL It's truly as good as it looks inside/outside and underneath. I'm swapping on 240Z bumpers and chrome driver's side mirror. If I keep it long(er) term, I will install a wood steering wheel to match up with shift knob.View attachment 1763652View attachment 1763653View attachment 1763654View attachment 1763655

I had a '71 back in high school, was rust free, but certainly not this nice.Love it. My second car was a 1973 240z. I'd love another.
Oh the good old days!!! Yea, this one was quite a bit more, though I felt it was worth it. The AC blows cold, heat works great as do ALL the gauges... Even the clock keeps perfect time. Car really "takes me back" every time I drive it.Soooooooo bad ass.
These Z cars have gotten crazy high in value. I bought a 74 260z years ago in similar condition (ok, not quite as nice as yours) for $2500.
Them days are LONG gone.
Nice car!!
