I know a lot of people have problems with their fuel cells. Well I had the same problem… stupid bladder!
So I built a new tank. I figured this group would be able to appreciate this lol
0.08 aluminum 5052 H32 with 0.125 wall.
Surge tank inside with OEM check valves.
I’ll be filling it with foam and running it bladderless. Worry free!

As we have discussed on messenger, great job on getting this pulled together Zach!

It’s awesome to have someone with your motivation and the shop to get it all done so quickly. My attempt was not as successful as I had to rely on others who just cannot prioritize the work for a number of reasons.

Can’t wait to see your car back up and running and get a chance at pick and one of these up as a back.

Wow! THAT is really nice and you have some real skills there with that build! How many hours into that?

Hard to say exactly on hours.
Just the measuring and inventor modeling was probably 6-8 hours.
Fabrication with revisions/modification maybe 10-12 hours if I remember correctly.

O nooooooooo…….

Was looking forward to getting one. Is it because not enough interest, or some other issue?

Dang, I feel for you guys. I'm glad Glenn was willing to do the 95R tank because it saved me a lot of money and also future headaches with leaking cells.

Has anyone checked to see what it costs nowadays to rebuild an 00R cell?

Last I checked with Pyrotect, they offered a replacement bladder for $1000-$1200, I believe. Fuel Safe made the original cells and they offer a replacement for almost double what Pyrotect offers. From my understanding the owner of Pyrotect owned Fuel Safe and had a non-compete in place as a condition of the Fuel Safe sale. That is why Pyrotect originally manufactured safety gear (helmets, harnesses, etc). When the non-compete expired, Pyrotect began manufacturing fuel cells, as well.

This is good information. Thanks for sharing. And I agree with the above that it is a bummer that neither Zach nor my guy could do these. Looks like you gotta do it on your own.!
