I like that idea. If my car only had minor bolt-ons and was close to stock, I would return it back to 100% stock and drive it like that.

But for me that ship has looooong since sailed.
Yeah that's exactly my thoughts. My 90 coupe is the one I can mod like crazy and not care. One day I'll go a completely different route.

Got my turn signal problem fixed yesterday so I decided to give it a good wash. Picked up my daughter from school and took her to soccer practice also, she was super excited lol.

@Bdubbs hey man, you seem like you’ve worked on a few. Question about the foxbody notch quarter windows. How hard is it to take them out? I’ve got them and they have cobras etched into the windows. I don’t like it. So I’ll be taking those out and throwing stock ones in. How hard will that be?

I removed both quarter windows on mine to replace with brand new ones. It’s easy. Remove the seatbelt bolt using a torx bit, then remove the plastic trim side pieces. After that is a series of nuts and then carefully prying it. It’s pretty straightforward and easy. When you install new ones be sure to install new gasket material.

Appreciate it man, thank you. I texted in the chat, you probably missed it. Since you know how that goes lol.

Totally missed it. Tomorrow I can take some pics of the back of them removed and a few of where they mount. That should be helpful.

Like mentioned fairly easy. Removing the interior quarter panel is the hardest part. I'd eventually like some LMR quarters for the notch. Mine are in pretty good condition, but they are not sitting flush on the body in some areas.

Removing the quarter windows only gets difficult if someone uses Urethan window sealer to install them, instead of a bead of butyl tape like they are supposed to.

Usually not an issue if the windows have never been off, but i've come across a car here and there where someone removed the windows (repaint) and then reinstalled them with window sealer. Have broken a window or two trying to remove it at that point.

Not close to an ideal photo, however it’s the only one I have of the car that I could snap a photo of. For reference the windows themselves are great, it’s just that “window etched cobra” that I don’t like. It’s not a cobra, and I don’t want to pretend it is. I just want plain quarter windows.

For years been meaning to have a set of 10 holes widened, but stumbled on these recently. Take a lot of weight for just a rim, most factory Ford wheels I balance (just the rim) take zero or maybe 1/4 oz on one side.

Anyway, look good and appear to spin up true on the balancer (no appearance of any major runout). Fit fine so far, with quads, without swapping them end to end. Look pretty close to my originals, maybe just a hair darker on painted surfaces in 10 holes and such.

Next up, have to mount the 275/50 DR's.

Decided to put much longer valve stems in. Was always a PIA
to get air chuck on.

Tires have been on slim rims so long, they would not bead up.
Had to break out the ratchet strap to get em aired up

Definitely going to put 1/2 to 3/4" more tread on the ground with a rim at least close
to correct for a 275.

Pulled the car out for the last time this season. Wanted to warm the engine up so I could drain the oil and do an oil change. QUick clean of the interior and back into the garage.

Plans for the off-season. Change out the flowmasters to some Borla Pro XS mufflers to try and quiet the car down a bit, and change out the rear caliper brackets from SN95 to fox offset for my new wheels which I hope to mount in the spring.
