I'm reading lots of posts of people purchasing or thinking of purchasing different Stages of Calimers rebuilt MT82 transmissions, but very few follow up threads or posts after install.

I'm interested in hearing about the "Stage 2" and "Stage 3" transmissions

I have seen at least one You Tube video of the Stage 3 having a nasty vibration, to the point of causing a miss fire code. (according to OP)

I hope that was just an isolated incident. Any body here install one??

I have a stage 2 that I have few miles on. Shift great and no noise. Not racing my car though. Have sticky tires, but an rst clutch.

Thanks for chiming in.
What shifter are you using?
How do you like the shifter/trans/ clutch combo?

MGW. It was tight at first compared to the 100K stock set up. Not sure if that was shifter or transmission. Has loosened up since and feels really good now, at least to me. I don't have or put a lot of miles on this so I am no expert. Lol. I also changed all kinds of things in the car at once so never had much of the stock "feel".

I was looking into that and ended up going t56 magnum. Price wise I just couldn't see spending that much on a mt82.

Its a stronger option for sure

I dont think the gearing is as good as the Mt82 for a stock or near stock N/A Boss though.

A built m82 is pretty stout. I have one in my 13 built by Rev Auto, basically bronze shift pads, welded shift fork ect. I have a blower car and I haven't had one issue with the trans, probably have about 25 to 30k miles on it

I agree, I chose the 2.97 version. I did like the gearing a little better on the mt82. I'm supercharged so the extra torque helps with 1st gear.

I been thinking about grabbing a stage 3 for my 2015 because of the HP ratio. I’m a blower car also. What’s your thoughts?

I'd do it before you potentially mess something up, that's when things get expensive....fixing what's broke and building the transmission

IMO you can't do better than MGW for either the Magnum T-56 or built MT-82 as far as the shifter. It's in a class of its own.
