Didn't you start a thread recently discussing those CF body panels. I know some questioned the quality of the fit but yours seem pretty much spot on.
Yes - I posted a review of the product. Some people had issues, although it sounded more like final prep work than issues with the product fitment ... in any event I'm happy with how mine came out.

oh boy, I can play in this thread too finally.

Chopped off rear quarters and replaced with carbon fiber panels (painted). Also replaced both doors and front fenders. For some reason a daily driver for 250k in Canadian winters (salt!) didn't sit well with the panels (rust!)

Any idea on weight difference after adding the CF quarters, doors and fenders? Fit on the quarters look great. How was the fit on the doors and fenders?
looking for ways to help lighten the Cobra without ditching the ac and power steering, brakes etc.
Thanks
Ken

Actually drove mine yesterday. I think I'm at 112 miles so far this season. Yahoo! Might start installing the new brake setup tomorrow if I'm feeling ambitious.

Big difference. I didn't weigh them, but it was a night and day difference picking up the cut-off quarters vs the carbon fiber.

How difficult was it to pull and replace the rear quarter?

e-z - I just dropped it off at the bodyshop, lol. They're welded on so it's a cut-them-off type job - I'd only do it if you know what you're doing.

jimmy viccaro told me in 2003, watch out for the slippery slope! I mean, I had many friends who had 600rwhp cobras and daily drove them. If you do a very basic and simple setup, 19lbs, pump gas, you should still be fine. Like a small TVS. But I do get it, now you no longer "feel" its reliable bc some OEM items are now gone. Its one of those decisions that will haunt us haha
That name sounds so familiar. Is he a NY/LI guy?

Well excited about moving forward with my new BOSS 5.0 Stroker build.
Done with the rings filed fitted for more boost.
Soo short block is done.

Now for that long tedious process of camshaft degree on 4 custom ground comp blower cams.

And finally got my cometic head gaskets.
(They are the only co. that makes head gaskets for the Boss block)
I should have the long block done soon...
