Anyone watching this?

I was pretty skeptical and hesitant. I've been very disappointed in recent Star Wars writing. Mandalorian was decent. Book of Boba Fett didn't keep my attention at all.

This short Obi-Wan series I thought was truly amazing. Not so much with the 6 episode story, but rather everything else in the story. Honestly, the actual story is pretty lame and creates a paradoxal plot hole. Leia never knew Obi-Wan, period. Not even as a child, but by the end of this series, it's semi believable.

Seeing a young Darth Vader struggle with who he has become is something I think we all needed to see. The flash backs are good. This story ties together the prequals into the main saga well.

The best part was seeing Vader and Obi-Wan battle again. Best Jedi battle in the whole franchise. Loved seeing Vader get the ever loving shit beat out of him. Once again, Obi-Wan tries to save him, which ties together a line from Return of the Jedi where Vader says to Luke, " Obi-Wan once thought as you do."

The anger for Vader's hate and rage is never really explained well throughout the Star Wars franchise, and honestly we never really get to see it unfold, until this series.

If you're even the smallest fan of Star Wars, I think you will enjoy this series.

I've been watching it. I'm not a die hard Star Wars fan, but enjoy the movies and short stories. Meaning I do not watch it to find every clue or nuance. However, I did notice the fact in this story Leia and Obi-Wan are in this together. So, it does create the paradox you mention, but in the grand scheme of things I can deal with it.

I'm a HUGE fan of Darth Vader. Always liked that character from the beginning. So, it is cool to see him in this series.

The only thing I don't care for is the little girl playing Leia. She is kind of annoying to me. I get it she's a princess and a spoiled brat LOL. However, I would rather see less of her and more of Obi-Wan, Vader, the Grand Inquisitors and the Jedi smuggling ring.

Overall I like it and enjoy watching it.

Obi-Wan has been okay still light years from capturing the feel of the original three. I haven't watched the last episode yet. Mandalorian has been a fun series. I can see that they really push the female hero or tough guy and that is a bit annoying. Just watched a couple episodes of Boba Fett and it's a bit slow so far.

I agree, always loved Darth Vader. His look, voice, and the breathing thing has always been cool. As a kid he was the ultimate enemy, so intimidating.

Finished it last night. Actually Leia does know Obi-Wan. She sends a message through R2-D2 in epdisode 4 asking for help. And when Luke opens up her cell and says he's with Obi-Wan (Ben) she jumps up because she recognizes the name.

I enjoyed what they did with Darth Vader. We knew he was evil and dark and this showed it.

Actually Bob, she knew "OF" Obi-Wan through her father. She never knew him personally.

In her message in R2 she said "Years ago you flew with my father in the clone wars." So, she drops her fathers name to get him to help in Episode 4.

Here we go. Let the nerd facts begin LMAO!!!

Just watched the last episode, overall I give the series a B+. I guess since plenty of spoilers already, I'll continue with mine as well.

Episodes 5 and 6 were the best, IMO. The final fight between Vader and Obi Wan was one of the best ones in the Star Wars universe. Loved seeing the "light bulb" click on for Kenobi while buried under the rubble. When he blew all the rock out I knew things were fixing to take a turn. It was like he evolved before our eyes.

The Reva Inquisitor part was a bit odd to me at the end. Any did she want to kill Luke after trying to kill Vader? Revenge? The whole deal with her was just an odd direction to go, imo.

I’ve watched bits and pieces of it on YouTube. I think it’s good. Which to be fair, I think the Disney version should have it’s own timeline. As it conflicts with Lucas’ original iteration of the franchise. Though it was nice seeing Ewan as Kenobi again and Vader was done well.

I thought it was crap and mainly ruined the whole Obi-Wan arc. The last 2 episodes were the only ones that were enjoyable and even then, ended with a big loose end if they dont make season 2. Clone Wars did a much better job.

Anyways, want a good show? The Boys is where its at, not a gay show BTW haha

Lol. A coworker and I had this discussion this morning. That's really the only reason I can put it together.

If you want to get deep, Obi-Wan says that no one can ever know that they know each other. So in her message she mentions her father fighting with him in the Clone Wars. So if the message is intercepted no one will figure out they really do know each other. To me that's how they cleared it up without leaving a paradox.

Ok, I'm out. That's all the nerd I can handle for a day. :)

Such a line could have tied together other things as well with Obi Wan and Vader even from episode III.

Thought the finale was pretty good but the rest of the show was simply ok, this was the series I was most looking forward to in a while so I was hoping it was going to be epic.

I watched the finale last night. I do agree the fight between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader was pretty cool, but I have to admit it was hard for me to see Darth get beat down.

Watching Darth Vader as a kid I always viewed him as the ultimate badass. The one dude you do not mess with. In all the stories I've seen has has never taken a beat down. Even when he fought Luke it was the Emperor's powers that brought him down in the end, when he finally came back from the dark side.

I guess you could chalk it up to Darth Vader still having some padawan in him LOL, but once he became Darth Vader he should have been able to hang with Obi-Wan a little more.

Can't wait for season 2, so I can see more Darth Vader LOL.....

Even my profile picture for Disny + is Darth Vader LMAO!!!

I do believe Darth Vader is more powerful than Obi-Wan at this point (even after Obi reconnects with the Force), however that is why the tie in with the flashback in the previous episode was so important. Vader's arrogance blinds him and that is why he fails. Also remember Anakin spent half his life training with Obi-Wan, so they are very familiar with each's fighting style and lightsaber forms (Soresu/Shien Djem So).

No, they save that for the younger crowd shows. I was actually surprised this series wasn't jam packed with wokeness. Disney buying this franchise was the worst thing to happen to it. I would honestly prefer someone to go into the canon series of it like the books & comics.
Since this is done by Disney, have they included any child sex trafficing yet?
