I feel I should put a spare TFI module in every fox mustangs glovebox. But they really need to be tested first. I've had new motorcraft ones bad right out of the box. And I do have 1 new one. Not sure if it even works....

I would test them. The quality of the TFI's has changed. There was a good thread showing them pulled apart and how the construction has changed over the years.

EDIT: here it is

Just bought a BBK TPS and some billet door lock pins since i'm missing one and both the black and chrome OEM style ones are out of stock. Plus the $15 extra gives me free shipping. The BBK TPS has a thinner profile than the OEM one which interferes with my custom silicone/t-bolt set-up for my home-made power pipe.

Don't buy fluidyne radiators anymore. After installing my new one last week the first test drive showed it had a leak on the lower core. So that pissed me off but not only that since I was looking at the radiator from under the car I see a big made in Mexico sticker on it. I was like wtf they say it's made it in the USA and advertised as such which is one of the main reasons I bought it over the Chinese made unit that's half the price. There website still states made in USA I emailed them to find out what's the deal but no response so far. I bought it from lmr and there sending me a new one and said they were unaware of them being made in Mexico and they would try to find out what's going on. New products go bad all the time I'm not really mad about that and lmr fixed that situation I'm just more mad about the fact I feel I was dooped thinking I'm buying American made products.

That would piss me off too. I would gladly pay more for something knowing it was made in the US and then finding out it wasn't. I had my 92 OEM radiator spring a leak last year. I had a local radiator shop put a new core in. I kept it stock looking and helped out a local guy. He said business is bad since OEM radiators are now throwaway. The only thing that keeps him afloat is fixing commercial truck radiators.

Our local shop in Pembroke MA, I have had him now do 3 radiators (not for a fox, but other cars), and 3 fox heater cores. They all came out great, and the cores he installs? They are made in Maine.

I just put an MGW shifter into my 92 coupe. This replaced the OEM wet noodle shifter. The quality is second to none and the driving experience is so much better. No buzzing, no vibrations and super solid shifting action. You can buy three different handles and they are infinitely adjustable which is really nice. Any of these aftermarket shifter is a big upgrade from stock, but I would have no problem recommending the MGW to anybody.

I wanted a spare tire for the car. I do have a tow policy with Haggerty, but if i got a flat I really would like a wheel to put on the car vs move it on a flat tire and possibly ruin the rim. I also didn't want a full size.

The 17" cobra spare doesn't clear my caliper without spacers. I didn't want to use a spacer on a spare.

So i found an 18x5 wheel that cleared my current C6 calipers, and future BBK's i will run. Racecar Recluse 18x5. $125 from summit.

Mounted a temp tire that matched my OD of my wheels .

Fits perfectly in the spare tire well and the carpet lays flat across.

I really need to do this as well. My 90 coupe doesn't currently have a spare. Do you have a part #?

So I’m running a 255/45/17 out back, so I went with a 145/70/18.

If you have something close to stock, a 135/70/18 might be better. You might want to play around with a tire size comparison calculator to decide. I wanted my tire to be same od as rear so I don’t burn out my clutches.

The 145/70/18 fits in the well but it’s definitely tight. The smaller 135 might fit much easier.

It doesn’t mount like the original spare with the Jack however. You’ll have to find another way to store that and lug wrench.

Great info!

I'm running a 245/45/17. I wonder since my 90 coupe was a ssp is the spare tire trunk area the same? I thought they used a full size spare tire?

The spare tire wells are all the same for the most part.

I think the SSP's had an option for a full-size spare, which was another 10-hole. I've fit a full size 17" SN95 wheel in the spare tire well. It fits but it sticks up high which doesn't let the carpet sit down. That was the entire reason why i wanted to find a spare that would also clear bigger brakes

Got the car mostly back together now. Swapped my other wheels on with good tires.

Finished up my sound deadening install and put the interior back in. Took the time to deep clean the carpet and mats and replace a few interior panels as well as fix some trim. It's an original black interior with a few strategically painted trim parts.
