My transmission Tech is the original owner. 20,000 miles Hasn't moved since 2003. He now has time and is replacing tires and fluids.

I'm just curious what you guys think it's worth... All original minus Shorty headers, Cats and exhaust ( but he has all original parts.

Saleen values are taking off so it's hard to put a number on it. It's going to depend on the options it has, and how many of it's type were made.

Some big money Saleens have sold recently on BAT. I'd be tempted to put the stock parts back on and run it through.

This is solid advice. Does he have all the paperwork?

Also depends if it runs too. Since it’s been close to 20 years. At this point, could be considered a barn find. It’s so minimal modded and being a tech, best best (agin I agree) would be to return to stock plus do all fluids, maintenance, tires, wearable items and then list it on BAT : Auto trader : Ebay : etc etc

He has every piece of paper that came with it.. He's not selling it.

We were having a conversation about its value that's all

If you want a number for the sake of just having a conversation, i'll throw one out there.

$15-25K based on the limited info provided. The high dollar Saleens tend to be the more limited models like the SSC, SA-10 and SC. The "standard" saleens pull a little less.

There's been a few regular old Saleens selling for $50K+ lately. Nothing special just clean and low mile.

You can’t really go by those online price guides. They don’t take into account collectibility.

For example…

I can't keep up with the market. It's just going crazy right now what cars are selling for.
I watch this Saleen market like a hawk, many don't even realize how many of these cars change hands without even going to market.

I got mine by getting into the foxbody Saleen community and put the word out that I was a serious cash buyer, it wasn't long before a seller reached out to me and the deal was done.

Originality is KEY, and the small details really matter, the Pioneer stereo, shift knob, and the condition of the completely un replaceable FloFit seat fabric. Then the overall condition and documentation of the rest of the car will be a huge factor (duh). Value I would say $30k to as much as 50k (if PERFECT). Making it 100% stock will help the value.

BTW if the guy is into originality, General (the original supplier for Saleen) makes 225 and 245 16 tires.

That car sold last January. I looked at it, cool car. Too bad was not swapped with a manual back in the day.....

Wow I wonder what it sold for. I had no idea that was the only one. I guess I just saw the same one in a bunch of magazines etc.
