I know someone that got an email from Ford asking if they wanted to upgrade their order. Base is 68,500 and they won't know till Feb,11 if it's a go. Looks like it may be a lottery. They may just deliver to keep the momentum and excitement going.

Everyone who hasn't had a scheduled build received the same email.

Whoever decides to upgrade, will go into a bucket with their reservation timestamps.

At that point, Ford will go by timestamps (earliest = highest priority) then when they run out of production options, everyone else will get an email saying sorry, their order reverted back to a "regular" one.

Makes sense. She pulled the trigger. Can't win if you don't play.

Anyone else wonder about the livability of a dana 50 with 400-450+ hp/tq and 37's?

It's not the Dana 50 from the front end of an older Super Duty. I haven't memorized all the new Dana Metric designations, but they are always directly comparable to the old familiar designations.

Is this the same timestamp that lets people with a 1/2022 order get a build before people who ordered 7/13-14/2020?

LOL

I asked the Ford representatives that in our meeting last week. The answer I was supplied with is that this will follow the timestamp process 100% because there will not be multiple options/etc that are under availability constraint.

That’s what Ford said with the Bronco in July August 2020. Haha

Definitely not arguing with you.

I knew as soon as rumblings started about the Bronco Raptor that the allocation/reservations would surely be a shit show.

Neither was I. Just laughing with you at the decisions of Ford Corp.

The thing is, I don't think it was a decision. I think it was a situation that didn't come up in any kind of planning committee, and when it finally showed up in the real world, there wasn't anything they could do about it.

I will say 1 thing I'm even confused is....is this the "warthog"?

Was that just the project name for the raptor or D/R... or will there be a 3rd variant?

I want one. Unfortunately, beyond just the luck to actually get one, the undoubted ADM will put it out of reach for most. I too hate the sound, but for some reason I seem to be able to accept it more in the Bronco than a full-size F150.

Plus, this one can tow my boat. ;)
