So after pulling the stereo in my 18 XLT F150 about 2 months ago I finally got a new one installed in my 20 Raptor Saturday. I've got more work to do but it's already amazing. I never knew you could get so much bass out of four 8" subwoofers. I drove 1.5 hours to a friend's house and we tackled this install. It was about a 12 hour install....yeah. There was a good bit of BSing and other people dropping by left and right. This guy is the lead basshead of the area so he's really good. Kept the head unit but installed the B&O interface, highs, mids, two amps, 56 headway lithium. He even made custom mounting plates for the front 6.5's out of PVC. I've got more work to do today. I need to secure the door panels, disconnect the center speakers, and secure the Lithium better in the bed of the truck. After Christmas I need to order the tweeter mounting brackets, better rear door speaker mounting plates and install sound deadener in all four doors for starters. At some point I will do a beauty plate for the Zen Module and crossovers and hide as many wires as possible. Within 6 months I'm going to go from these 4 speaker component highs and mids to a better quality 6 speaker set and upgrade the rears at the same time. At some point I will get into better tuning of the sound...somewhat ignorant at that level at moment.

The port air coming out is rather violent, especially for 8's. I'm running better speakers with more power so I wonder if I could break a CD?? lol Go to about 25:20

I wonder if the B&O system from the Explorer ST/Platinum the same as the F-150's. Sounds pretty good but not amazing, especially the lows on the bass, seriously lacking.

I just stuck my 12" W7 in the back to see how it would fit. The Pro Wedge box fits but I'd lose the small seat. I'm going to have someone install it as I'm butcher with electronics. Did you have to do anything special with the B&O, or can I just add an amp and sub. I'm also worried about blowing out my pano roof.

You aint even lying about the roof! I'm pretty worried about that myself. I did a single 12" Sundown Audio ZV5 where the 40 is on two Sundown Audio SFB3Ks and it was nowhere near what this is. I think it was a bad setup however from the shop. They did what I asked, just didn't have much bass and it should have had more than this. The B&O is incredible and incredibly easy to install. Just check out the videos online and you would be good. If you use it get the wiring harness with it. SoundsGoodStereo is the source for that. Might be able to get it from the forum dealer Hush Car Audio as well, not sure.

I have the B&O already. I was curious if I need a different processor for the new sub.

You have the B&O Zen Interface? If so...you can run it straight to the amp due it's flat signal. I'm going to see if I need a processor of some sort to improve the sound quality eventually.
