Where are all the auto Mach 1’s for sale? I’m in the market but finding a unicorn seems to be easier than finding an auto Mach 1.

Musts:
Auto trans
Under 100k miles
Clean title
Never had the motor opened
Zero mechanical gremlins

Preferences:
Red/White/DSG/Azure Blue. Not entertaining yellow or black cars.
Simple mods are fine
No IRS swap cars

Am I searching for a needle in a haystack here?

They're out there. Wife had two. A grabber Orange then a AZ blue to flip for some cash. Extremely easy to beat on, and not end up in the ditch. Fun cars.

I figure I’ll throw a ProCharger on one if I can find what I’m looking for. My 02 GT was ProCharged and an auto and was a lot of fun.

I see a number of very nice manuals on Facebook but no autos. I’ll keep an eye out.

Thanks! I’ve checked cars.com and auto trader as well. There is a very nice red auto Mach with just over 9k miles for $18k in Missouri if I remember correctly. I’d just have to factor shipping into my budget.

^ That sounds like a nice car and a good deal! Shipping from Missouri to Texas shouldn’t be that bad… FYI- I just shipped a car enclosed from NM to OH for $1,850 (I had them bring some extra parts which out the total at $2,000). Either way, it’s easy and fast to get quotes on shipping. You may also want to think about just flying up there and diving it home, would probably be doable in a day… you’ll just need to watch the winter weather obviously.

i've always been curious about the auto mach 1's radiators, but always forget to check when i am walking around at ford car shows.

i know that manual versions use the same all aluminum radiator as the 03/04 cobra, but automatic's can't because there's no provision for a trans cooler.

do you remember if they use the same plastic-end style as a mustang gt?

The one in Missouri has had the valve covers painted black or there has been more work done that he is not disclosing.

If you want to consider a black one with 49K miles and full bolt-ons terminator transplant /auto/ sra, I've got one garaged in the southeast. PM with interest.
