Wow! That's really interesting I have not heard of anyone having to modify their Magnum other than the Driveshaft? The grinding of the clutch fork, and front plate is something I wouldn't be happy with doing at all especially on a new tranny, that is not comforting.

Really curious to hear what other Magnum trans owners are using for clutch setups

I have heard good things of the Centerforce DYAD, I've also considered the Mantic but they are both pretty steep in price.

The TOB issue has been a challenge with these cars on twin disks, I played with my adjustment a lot when first installed, to ensure that the TOB slightly touched the PP.

I was always more concern with mine being to tight, but when it was to loose the car would be hard to put into gear, so I knew I had to tighten a bit by doing small adjustments specifically while the car was running so that I can feel the engagement. Upon getting the correct engagement the pedal still felt high?

Really appreciate your input.

The engagement point is determined by the pivot ball height. Cable adjustment will not effect this if you are in fact adjusted correctly.

Believe it or not, AED and Tremec put out a review and video on this procedure years and years ago.

That’s who installed my setup for the prior owner and it was clearanced.

When I threw the 1200 in a year or two ago I did a little more work on the fork.

First of all thank you guys for all the info, this has been really enlighting! My concern now is that I am really not looking forward to doing a bunch of modifying, that Im certain I am not qualified to do.

Is there any other clutch that will be a suitable option with the Magnum?

Believe the DYAD is bolt in no drama.

I run a Spec 3+ in my car, no mods to fork or trans. I run stock flywheel with new surfaces installed. I had to grind the front two shifter bolt heads because they hit the tunnel. Also the two big ears on the side of trans hit the tunnel but a BFH took care of that. Then obv the yoke and driveshaft changes are needed.

My buddy had to grind his fork with same clutch and a spec flywheel.
