Spoken like someone who has never driven an electric car.
I drove a P85D and yes, wow for 5 seconds and then it was a boring gimmicky toy.

I see all these EV cheerleaders going on about how fast they are, doesn't matter because the big picture is these are a skipping stone to you no longer being allowed to drive without autopilot... Will happen sooner than people want to admit.

All in the name of public safety.

Anyone who cheerleads EV's can honestly get ****ed

I have no doubt federal regulations will definitely start reel in the high performance EVs once production of EVs is more mainstream...Feds manage to **** up everything that is fun.
Exactly, it'll be, "No ones needs high performance EV's that consume too much electricity".
Electricity will be rationed and you will only be able consume so much power. The power that you do consume will be extremely expensive and produced by fossil fuels that will continue to be highly regulated thus further increasing their costs.

The whole EV takeover is a fantasy. It won't be in my lifetime. Unless they are currently building 10 or 20 new nuke plants no one knows about.
Or....... they will mandate it into existence in order to limit your free movement and force most of you to move into the cities where you can utilize mass transit.

And **** either one of those outcomes, and **** you for supporting them.

If you want an awesome V8 powered car and one with a stick, now is the time to buy. With the semiconductor shortage, it makes it more difficult to source one.

I can totally see how they are fun and interesting to people who aren't really car people. I certainly can't wrap my brain around how someone with a Viper competition coupe can be even remotely interested though. It just doesnt compute at all.

I'd rather have a 1970 Chevelle that runs 13's and can't turn worth a shit than a Plaid

I think you misread where I said, "I'm not interested in one". haha

But I do find them to be neat, fast, and something different.

Fact: ICEs and EVs will continue to be a polarizing subject.

Wonder how the multi-speed EV gearbox in the Taycan compares to driving a single speed gearboxes EV, driving experience wise.

I was speaking with a volumed dealer whom sells a ton of kittys and scats. Told me the situation is fluid but there’s still goin be a at least (1) 2dr except it’ll be slimmer (weight reduction) and there looking at different platforms and marrying drivetrains still…as for it being 100% EV is on the table but hasn’t been decided by the suits lease for the 1st next gen. He said corporate is well aware of they drop the ball customers will be even more pissed than what already is occurring. So they’re handling this with enthusiasts in mind.

When they let you...

EVs, especially ones with self driving modes, are gateway drugs into removal of the automobile as an individuals ability to freely move about society.

You're enticed with cheap power now and fast versions, but that's easily changed once mass implementation occurs.

I agree and I can’t quite put my finger on why everyone would be so happy about this…Are people on SVTP actually rooting for the downfall of the ICE? Just seems weird to me but maybe I’m the weirdo in this discussion. A few things I know I don’t want without having to try them
1) to live in multi family housing
2) less energy sources in the American economy
3) an electric car

EV's will be connected and controlled by the Government. Speeds will be limited, when you can drive will be regulated. If you want to go when they don't want you to, it will cost you double or triple.
Ev's are the cornerstone of controlling your life. When you can drive, where you can drive and weather or not you can even recharge the vehicle.
There is no infrastructure. There is no electrical capacity if there was the infrastructure.
This is one of the biggest red herrings to come down the pike since Brandon stole an election.
There will be a major correction. There MUST be a major correction or all is lost.

Tim K. is openly trying to appeal to millennials, he said so with his own ****-gobbling mouth. The metrosexual Tim K., trying to appease SJW/Climate faggots, is going to build EVs. All of this because democrats are winners and we are losers.

FCA is hopelessly outdated and really behind their competitors. If FCA doesn't change, it will probably cease to exist. Their current business plan does not work.

You are outdated and know very little about what is going on.

If Chrysler doesn't change fast, their competitors will continue to crush them. Tesla and other EV startups pose a threat to FCA. Incumbents such as Ford and VW recognize the threat and they have invested in unlearning outdated processes that don't work anymore. FCA barely grew their top-lines, it was less than 3%, barely below the inflation rate. Tesla is growing more than 60% a year.

Chrysler is an example of a company that is hopelessly outdated. They move at a snails pace, whereas Tesla moves at a lightning pace. Tesla is able to change designs on the fly to reduce cost in their vehicles. Tesla continuously changes its electronic architecture. Chrysler would never do such a thing. Look at the Challenger and the Charger. They are still on old, outdated chassis because they don't touch their platforms for decades. Tesla was able to save hundreds of dollars when they switched up their architectures after two years. That is impressive savings in an industry that fights over pennies. The key to Tesla's profitability has always been its ability to cut cost and increase capability for their customers.
