Alright I just figured it out ...

When it comes to D and S it's all MPH based and not rpm based so all I gotta do is tweak that up and I should be good to go

alright just to update anyone who's interested into this..

last night i saw some positive income with my current Spark setup.. the car went all the way up to 29 Degrees of timing! not a single knock was recorded during my datalog and my Fueling is on spot.

i did some tweaking on my shift schedule which should help to fix the shift point in the D and S mode..

since the D mode is actually MPH shift based oriented i raised the MPH based on a calculation that i found online and i compared few of the findings to find the most suitable for my current setup.

i will do some testing tonight and i will give you the update.

PS: tuning automatics is a pain in the A##

As was stated earlier on the stock converter you're not going to get much better than what you've done. My car picked up half a second in the quarter mile after my Circle D converter went in. Oh and with 3.15's.

i know and i'm totally aware of it, i just have a feeling that i can do better especially that i've seen more than one mustang runs in the high 11's.

the difference was weight reduction (removed seats, spare tire ETC) plus M/T Street SS tires on their stock wheels, and the mods.
on the other hand i'm on full weight, M/H Sportsman Radials on 15 inch welds( 28'' )
LCA's Panhard and Subframe.

i do believe that my tires are actually killing my Launch and 60ft, i'll try to use my buddy's MT street SS tires and with my current tune setup and see how things work out.

my current tune setup eliminated couple of factors that i used to have especially i was running a bit conservative on the Fuel and timing.

i'll be going harder with the tune as i've seen some promising changes on my previous datalog.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd i did it!

i just need to raise the rev limiter a bit higher or lower the MPH shift point just a small tad..

not bad for a Noob tuner

and yesterday i had two of the cars i tuned run some decent numbers.

first was a 2013 mustang gt a6 .. bonestock 12.7 .. stock everything and this is the first time for the driver to track his car.

2009 mustang GT ,, manual and boltons .. 13.4 .. not too bad

well i managed to reach a lower time .. 12.024

i'm getting closer to my goal, i used the same tires and my guessing they're killing me.

i'll be switching to a smaller tire than my current one .. now i wait until april

Did you ever get into 11.xx?

Was hoping for it.. But the last event got cancelled due to covid-19

And I think my goal is slightly different now.. I'm planning to go into the 10 seconds club lol

Damn overachievers... ;-)

haha sometimes you have to aim higher, and hopefully i'll get there.. since i'm taking the boosted route and i'll be working on the suspension as well.

so maybe it's still possible

Circle D is a great convertor to get , I'm on E85 removed back seats , did front sway bar delete , 2018 intake , 52 lb injectors, jlt cai, tune, driveshaft shop aluminum one piece driveshaft, drag set up wheels , full spool rearend, etc and still 1.7 60ft and 11.8 1/4 mile (spinning in 2nd) I have a trans brake I haven't used yet but I've seen the results of the circle D convertors on other cars and it's worth the money, I need to get one - also have 3.73 gears when I installed them they made a huge difference

that's Great!

i'm between projects as i have my supercharger sitting at home, and i'm thinking of selling the kit and going for a single turbo setup.

deep inside me i feel i should stay NA, i like it but i know eventually i'll reach my max potential. even though my current setup if i'm staying NA will only miss the Converter and Gears. i have a full suspension setup (Strange Shocks & Struts, LCA, Panhard, Springs, Driveshaft)

Time to Revive an old Thread..

so yesterday i finally managed to test my car after my new tvs setup, and yes the 60ft are still awful lol.

my best 60ft was 1.8 and the 1/4 mile was 11.4 ( i'm still running 14 degrees of spark ) and my trap speed was 124 mph.

i was launching around 1100 rpm and i still need to work on my launch that until i can upgrade my torque converter.

the car is extremely responsive once i jump off the 60ft. so i need to work on my launch.

and i also burnt my differential clutches last night so i'm upgrading them to the Ford racing carbon fiber clutches.

What rear tires are you running? With a good tire your blower set up should easily be able to cut low 1.6 or high 1.5s on pump gas with the stock converter.

Hey Reddick,

28'' in the rear (15x275x60).

i think my issue is with the launch and maybe the spark on the lower load, i feel like i should bump that up a little.

With that tire you should not be having traction issues. You mention your timing is capped at 14* but whats it seeing at 1100 RPMs when you launch? You should slowly be adding timing as the RPMs increase, amount is dependent upon fuel type. Also, please post what fuel you are running?

oh my bad i have forgotten to mention what fuel i'm running. 93 octane

my bet is on the low load spark .. i'll look into that and i'll tweak it
