Impressive! For a few hundred dollars you could make the ICE diehards shoot in their pants… just add this and maybe rivet a 12” scoop from Summit on the hood-

Thanks . It's free on Teslas , watch the video above I posted

I think I just became a Tesla Plaid fan! LOL! Wow! None of those runs were anywhere near close. Wipeout! As expected. But to actually SEE the Plaid run is a big eye opener.
It's just something else , it's like a big block with nitrous. There is 0 leg in the car , it hits crazy hard at any speed . I've had 1 guy scream [ damn fu... we just got rear ended then he looks back and there is no car behind us LOL] . I gave rides to so many local car guys that weren't fun of EV cars at all . They came out shocked after the drive . So many older gearheads were interested in this car at the track, couldn't belive what I was running. I gave bunch of them a ride , put a big smile on their faces

If all you want is a fake cam sound, you won't even have to pay for a ghost cam tune . Tesla can do it for free

But it lacks the feel, the smell.

To me, that is a big part of it. That feel when the car starts.

It is not like I would not buy an EV or hybrid. I am probably going to look at the Powerboost F150 for my next truck. I love how smooth and quiet my current EB F150 is. I love how smooth and quiet my company vehicle is.

Performance vehicles, I want that burnt gasses smell, the vibrations of the drivetrain, the mechanical noise. I’m doing a Coyote 6R80 swap in my 02 GT that will probably be nearly as fast as my 03 Mach 1 project that will probably have 300hp more strictly because it is a stick and I am not Wesley Evens or Joel Steele. And I will smile every minute of it.

Like I said, I love the sheer stupidity of steel coasters. But they don’t put as big of a smile on my face as a wooden coaster.

I truly enjoy my luxury, but I love my shitboxes. Lol

Anyone still ridin’ with Biden or is gas too expensive for y’all?

Stroked and blown foxbody guy here.

I LOVE watching my ICE brethren die on this hill. It just shows lack of adaptation and inflexibility.
We are moving so fast that we're finally watching evolution in real time.

As to OP vids... the gaps... THOSE FN GAPS!!

That camaro popn screaming on the 2 step and you put 50 cars on by the time it went anywhere. JFC.

When they start multi motor electric swapped foxbody kits.... and there all running silent 7s... or 6s, maybe that will get them to come around.

If you need a DD and could buy anything this is the car to get. You can save the noisy stuff for fridays. Im in my mid 30s and need ear plugs when running my full exhaust bike, it has the shorty slip on so its loud all the time, after 10 mins of riding it gets old quick without ear plugs. I “daily” this to work or when i need to come in.

i cant imagine what a 4 motor tesla would do. At some point the Gov is going to step in and regulate the power levels. Then we will have car hacking or car overclocking.

1/4 with standard Plaid mode without activating Drag strip mode and no launch control either. seems like preheating the battery for drag strip mode and using LC makes the car about a 10th quicker in 1/4 mile so not much difference at all

it's more fun then most high hp rwd cars I've had before except the 720S [only car that can put the power down ] . My 600 -900rwhp manual Mustangs were useless on colder days , spin at 70mph if it was anything below 60F. No traction , rolling burnouts and limited usage got boring quickly. Not much fun when the car is useless on the street besides 70mph rolls , have to run drag tires and can be driven on warm sunny days only . they were garage queens just like most high hp rwd cars .So pick your poison .

For a weekend garage queen toy I'd definitely pick something else. If I have the urge to shift and listen to an engine / exhaust I take out my 69 Z/28 or 1 of the T/As once a while

When it comes to Plaid it's the best daily driver noting comes close . AWD , huge trunk , 5 seater , adaptive air suspension , 1020hp car that gets 350miles for $10, awesome tech inside , quiet and can rape 99% cars on the streets

It's fast and I see the value of EVs, but that danger is part of the fun. An old big block, manual muscle car with a big cam on bias plies is slow, loud, rough, stinks, and is sketchy on even a good day. But that's part of the fun.

I haven't tried the plaid, only the S and no doubt it's fast, but it's not fun. It's like a rollercoaster.

how easy it is to run 9.2 in the 1/4 mile and eat a cheeseburger at the same time.

Someone needs to do this.

Whatever floats your boat but you have to look into it as bigger picture too . can't really compare an old muscle car to a Plaid , 2 completely different machines but which car would give you more overall fun ?

old muscle drag car that you take out 10 times a year around a block and couple local car shows or a Plaid that you can enjoy driving all year around , take your family anywhere , go to race tracks without needing of trailers and 1/2 day prepping the car. Run low 9s on the street and track even if its 40*F or 100*f outside .

Like I said before pick your poison

Good Lord. Pretty sweet
Yea , it was pretty sweet . Guy even made the factory fox auto shifter to work with the 10r80 . That's the kind of project I'd love to do , it's just very time consuming

Can it make v8 cam noises at idle, then V12 noises at WOT? I bet it can!

You would wear it, can’t even take a sip of a beverage when the throttle is hit. As he mentioned it is like being rear ended when you nail it. It’s violent fun! The reactions from passengers are quite hysterical. Anything from laughter to squeals to screams of fear. It’s a different kind of fun than a race car but still tons of fun nonetheless!
