I rode for about 5 years, then moved near a large city. 4 close calls in 4 months. Sold both bikes. My friend is a nurse in the ICU, he calls motorcylce riders "organ donors". He sees way to many of them. All it takes is going past a bike accident and seeing the sheet covering the body in the middle of the highway to give you a wake up call.

Since I started this thread back in April I’ve bought a house, traded in my ST for a boring family hauler and had our second little boy. But the bike is still hanging around, it’s the only fun vehicle left lol.

Haven’t had much a chance to ride lately but me and the wife went out on our anniversary for a short ride. It’s the first time she’s been on the bike in a year. We had a blast but it did weigh on my mind the entire ride to be extremely careful with both of us on there. I don’t ride much anymore but I still love to get out when I get a chance. Heading to the blue ridge parkway Wednesday for a few hundred miles.

Stopped when I had my first kid. I had a 600r, r6, 636, 954 and 10r. The 2004 10r was the scariest but also the most fun bike I ever had. When it came out it was one of the first bikes that could do 100mph in first gear.

I couldn’t imagine riding a new r1m or rsv4

I've ridden since 1997. Bought my first bike, brand new, 1998 GSXR 750. First year for fuel injection. Probably not the best first bike, but hey, I made it. lol.

Fast forward to September 2021, after 24 years of riding, I just sold my last two bikes and don't plan on getting another. :/

Many reasons why my wife and I gave up riding. It seems folks today are less and less concerned with other people on the road. Between aggressive driving, impaired driving, and distracted/thoughtless driving our odds of an accident were increasing beyond what we were comfortable with.

I thought I had given up riding, but I just ordered my first bike that I had. I've been looking for about a year and figured if one popped up I'd jump on it.

that bike is prolly a freak. reminds me of the old 900rr Honda I had. To this day the old R1 holds my heart. That bike could scare the liquid shit outta any man.

Bought a nice used kawasaki 440 LTD. What a fun little bike that was. Had the girls riding on the back. I fell in love with riding. Going home from College, the last thing I remember is being stopped at a red light. Well about 1/4 mile down the road (so I have been told, no memory) a 16 year old kid had a stop sign on a road crossing my path. Guess he was looking for big four wheelers and motorcycles are invisible. I got T-boned at 45mph, woke up in the hospital in the ICU a day or so later. Triple compound fracture, concussion and a metal bar in my leg to remind me. Never got on a bike again. You can be the safest rider in the world but it hardly makes a difference.

Moved down south, bought house and next door was this pretty cool older guy. Always tweaking and fixing on his sweet GoldWing. i told him it was bad idea riding. Well one day a truck pulled a U-turn in front of him. He never made it out of the ICU.

What is weird is that there are quite a few that come up for sale in England, but never in America. I think it must have something to do with England making people work their way up to higher hp bikes.

I also looked for a 954, but at some point the price doesn't justify the bike. They are either beat, or they asking asking 9-10k for a bike with 50k miles.

Welp.

I want another bike.

My uncle rode his 2021 H2 by the store yesterday and I fell in love. I think I'm going to have to track one down.

I might be a little outdated here but CBRs are the Sasha Grays of the bike world. You can rape/pillage/obliterate her and she keeps begging for more with a sexy ass smile on her face.

I had a 2004 750 GSXR and really loved it. I got to comfortable and rode to fast as most people do on sport bikes. I friend that I rode with had a bad accident on his Ducati in a two lane reducing radius turn. He was going to fast thought he was going to lay it down and hit the break. The bike stood up and he crossed over the opposite lane and hit a fence post on a barb wire fence. Thankfully he had on full gear (it saved his life) but he still got messed up pretty bad. That kind of got in my head and a few years later I though it's time to sell. The day I sold the bike I felt like I had gotten away with something. I have to say I love they way the sport bikes look and ride and I do miss it. If I had the money I would get one as a track use only.

No doubt, but I don't want to rape/pillage/obliterate granny that has wrinkles on her ass. I want her to come out of the plastic surgeons office ready to pound one out.

Sasha has wrinkles on her ass??? You lie! Prove it.

On second though, sorry kid, didn’t know you were just hitting puberty...

I bought the Harley new in ‘09 and traded it in last week on a BMW R1250RT.

Can’t wait to see where this BMW will take me.

I've considered it. Unfortunately we have no places within a reasonable distance to ride. Logistics of packing everything up and driving an hour to an off-road park kinda kills that idea.

If I had a few acres, I'd totally do it. But we live in a subdivision. We have enough asshats (illegally) riding dirt bikes in the area and swarming traffic.

yessss man, let us know how you like it

Had 2015 R1, girl had a 2016.

****ing things ran HOT! borderline uncomfortable in traffic

Ridden for almost a decade now, dont intend to stop.

2013 Zx1000
2015 R1

Currently riding a 2017 ZX10R, filter, pipe, tune, probably makes around 200whp.

I get the sentiment about the cagers, but you just have to keep your head on a swivel, and having a VERY Loud bike doesnt hurt :) People hear me long before they see me.
