Lol, I literally suggested the Magnum SRT8 in post #6 and then immediately edited my post saying they are well beyond the $15k budget max for a decent one. They are crazy.

Cheapest one on Autotrader is $14,900 with 132k miles.

Even a RT wouldn't be bad either. Still has the Hemi.
My sister had one and has missed it since the day she sold it we are all a Ford family. It's the only non Ford she has owned.

"I want a cheap sport wagon but not interested in a Volvo or a Subaru" is like wanting a cheap RWD v8 but excluding corvettes, mustangs, and camaros LOL.
I said I was researching and started with the legacy gt and Volvo v70r
The legacy gt is still #1
I was asking for additional ideas.

I think you misunderstood me. The Volvo isn't cheap. Research common failures on the v70 and cost to repair.

I have owned many Volvos and would advise you to stay away. Weird shit breaks that costs a ton to fix. Ditto for Audis, avoid like the plague.

What about an older acura to wagon? Or Mazda 6 wagon?
Mazda never made a performance wagon.
Fwd and 220hp isn't going to cut it. I have a 260hp turbo hatch that's fwd. I can't go backwards.
The legacy is 260 and awd.
The Volvo is 300 and awd.

The only Acura wagon I found was the tsx sport wagon. 200hp i4 and a 5 speed auto... No thanks.

I knew that about Audis. I visited the forums reading on the v70r and that was the consensus

That's the plan if I don't find something I like. That's why I am being picky. I am not going to downgrade just to get a wagon.
I have a ST as well. It's a fun car. I'm looking for a rwd V8.

Sounds like u want a legacy. I just don't do Subaru because everyone has one around here. Not a reason not to buy though.
Dude I live in Seattle. Subaru central. But not everyone has a legacy gt wagon.

And I do want a legacy. I wanted to see what else existed that would be comparable.

Funny, but I bet there are more here. I used to think Seattle was king, but we have the only plant outside of Japan here. I shit you not, every other family has one. I will see 20+ on the way to the grocery store...

Not sure of your time frame, but I would suggest looking at the Buick if you have time for the mileage to creep up on existing owners. I researched this for some time wanting something similar. Was scared of the euro cars (3 series, already, etc) and maintenance. Took a quick pass on the Buick and almost bought a new V60. Then I saw Buick were going for $12k less than Msrp. At $30k fully loaded new it was a steal. Mine is probably worth your high end now so others will be getting there. It's a German built car with a camera engine. It does need the tune from Trifecta, which I think is in your neck of the woods. Not perfect, but pretty damn nice and fairly sporty. Some guys are even modding turbos, autocrossing, etc.. It is a pretty damn big car though.

The Buick isn't going to make the cut. I plan to buy a new bronco in 22 or 23. The point of this is to buy a car that's paid off after selling my St while replacing the St with something as fun.
Why would it need a tune?
