@SID297 That’d be great! Happy to do write ups or reviews in exchange haha

I’m thinking these newer engines are a little above my head vs my 03 with Moates quarterhorse haha

It'll be a fun drive :)

I'm ready to order when you are.

I hope you can do better than the last Ford dealership. We already had the car picked out down to the T. Black Ford Edge Sport They had two exactly identical in every way. The sales guy grabbed the one with the dead battery. We called ahead the day before. We had to redo the paperwork leading up to buying once, we then swapped to the other vehicle that didn’t have the dead battery because the one the sales guy grabbed had a check engine light and no service tech to look at it after filing around with dead jump boxes and getting a service truck to jump it. Long story short, after being there over 5 hours and waiting over an hour just to get into the financing department, I told my wife to tell them we were leaving in 15 minutes because waiting 5+ hours when you’re putting money down, super easy to finance with excellent credit and a nice trade in that we weren’t upside down on is just ridiculous. We had seen people come in after us and leave before us with a new car.
They ended up taking us over to their Hyundai dealer to get us taken care of and apologized over and over. They fired our sales guy that week, not because of us thankfully, but because he couldn’t keep up with the pace that they put him through.

We got there at 10AM, and finally left around 5:30pm… not fun.

LOL wow.

Well, the CEL was on because of low voltage, guarantee it. They could've cleared it and it would've been fine.

But no, I would never have someone sit here that long. What do you think @HuntFishCobra, maybe 45 minutes to an hour?

Financing, test drive, went over the truck for a quick visual, had help setting up FordPass and Bluetooth etc. and shooting the breeze with Nick
That long? Last time I bought a Super Duty I went in and picked up the keys and drove away. What takes an hour?

Thanks! Right now I have husky liners, bed cover, bulletproof hitch, front & rear aux lights and LineX on deck. Looking at on board air, leaning arb single tankless setup or viair tankless.

This 7.3L is a BEAST! I got 3.55 rear end and so glad Nick talked me out of 4.30. It pulls hard and I didn’t even put it to the floor yet. We went straight from Nick’s to my beer league softball games and just got home LOL.

As usual @13COBRA was a pleasure to work with. Smoothest auto transaction you could ask for!

I’ll try to get some pics soon. Nicks pictures above are better than anything I have. I have 73 miles on it now but the ride is really impressive for a 3/4 ton truck. Gotta get 1k miles on it so I can hook up and tow!

I might start a thread here or pics and videos or something. I’m really blown away with this truck so far.

Start a thread so I have something to admire till mine arrives. Which is gonna be awhile.

Dude you’re insufferable.
I’ve never seen you post one positive or helpful thing.

HuntFishCobra: congrats on the new truck!
I like the light interior, getting bored with all black everyday.
I’m looking forward to my order at Chuck Anderson Ford!

So,...school me guys. I have ZERO knowledge of diesels at all. lol

What's the reliability of a diesel engine over gas engine?
How about cold weather and diesels? I live in the Northeast and it gets cold out here in the winter time.
I "assume" that it gets good mpg? Not too worried about that too much, but I don't want it to be like the TRX. The TRX is stupid on gas. Stupid. lol

Mostly asking about the new 2021+ turbo diesel F250 truck.

if and when the diesel breaks it’s a bitch to work on, it’s a LOT packed into a small space. Not that it can’t be done but a lot of stuff is buried.

After the initial purchase hit ongoing maintenance is expensive - I assume it’s still ~16 quarts of oil, 2 oil filters and 2 fuel filters that get swapped on a regular basis. Now there’s DEF to buy the too.

resale on a diesel is better but unless you tow a lot you aren’t really making your money back in mileage
