14 FoST, 123k and change on the clock. Gets over 30mpg and has held together for the most part. Climate fan stopped working recently so I'm trying to chase down the issue with that

Yeah during the week I take advantage of the work truck putting miles on that before putting miles on my cobra or the s550 but I do try to drive both cars at least 2 or 1 a week i feel like cars get mad if u don’t drive them lol

You guys are funny with your “daily beaters”!

I roll a pos 230k 96 Civic with hail damage, a broken windshield (from said hail), busted bumper, faded paint, inop passenger window, and no muffler (thanks to a huge snow drift about 4yrs ago that I had to plow through to get home at 1am out in the sticks).

Best part about having a shitbox is not worrying about some ********** parking their shopping cart on your bumper

I’m in a hotel with an HEB in the adjacent parking lot right now.

I’m gonna end up buzzed one night and I’m gonna go lay in and wait for some dipshit to do that and then ram their car with said cart as they drive off.

Fivehoe's post from the other thread got me thinking:

I actually concur with Fivehoe on this. I picked up a 2009 Lexus IS350 with the luxury package for $7200 from a family friend who needed a bigger sled after having his 3rd kid. After having it as a daily for 2 years it now has 112,000 miles and still runs beautifully.

It has also spoiled me in that it has a great array of creature comforts (heated/cooled buttery leather seats, backup camera, sunroof, easy touchscreen interface, ect) as well as decent pickup at 305hp.

Probably my favorite part of all is that I give zero ****s if scratches or small dents were to occur (its black/black and very clean inside and out) since I paid so little for it, whereas i’d be annoyed and it would bother me if that type of thing happened on my old C6, Cobra, or just about any of the other 30+ cars ive owned. I've looked for a reason to eventually sell it and get into something else as a daily beater, but haven't found anything that fits the bill quite like this does-so for now it stays.

So lets hear it-what is your daily beater and does it satisfy you? If so, why?
Funny you say that. I just got a lexus, its an older RX300 AWD. Its not fast by any means but **** it's real comfy. I was cruising on the highway and realized I was going 90, it is so smooth LOL. Wifey's car is a 17 Grand Caravan, I love that hog. Everything is paid off and I'm done with expensive cars for 10 years until I retire. That is my goal anyway. I'm 34 right now. I've had my fun with the GT500, Terminator, a Corvette, and Viper. You are right about the cheap cars. You don't give a shit what happens to them. And THAT is an awesome feeling.

Its sad but true. He refused to pay a bet until the crew went hard on him. But at least at some point he paid his bet. But cried and went mia. Personally i lost a ton of respect for him.

sa'll good man. Most people @ SVT are real cool, and I enjoy being here. We all support each other, that's the best part. Shit if not I'd be gone years and years ago hahaha. I've seen plenty on this board. But for the most part, it's all good. =)

At the moment I'm land yacht cruising in my 06 DTS. I was thinking about selling it until I saw this baby here. It made me look at the car in a new way lol.

Beater is a 2001 LS430, in Jewish Racing Brown.

It's a perfect beater, $4400, 25mpg, V8, RWD, and rides better than 99.5% of the cars on the road.

It's also a Toyota so I haven't had to do really anything to it.
hell yeah !

I changed daily's since this thread was started. Still got the F250, it is now a farming and hunting vehicle. Daily "beater" is a 2021 BMW M440i x-Drive. And I do enjoy it.

My son has a 98 GS300 he's slammed like that. No extreme camber thankfully as he's not into that. He's currently rebuilding the engine for it. While it's not my thing it doesn't look half bad to me.

That’s what I have been looking for, either a low mileage ls400 or a ls430. Do you run premium in that?
