I was changing out my injectors and when I pulled up on the rail, the injector simultaneously popped out of the rail and the manifold which caused fuel to dump about 2 tsp out of the rail and into the manifold hole. I called it quits for the day in hopes of it evaporating in time for monday, but if not I'll just crank it over with the injectors unplugged and spark plug out to avoid hydro locking my shit but I just wanted to check with people on here to see if anyone has dealt with this. Thanks in advance

Yea I done that I allowed the injector to sit out the vehicle to allow the gas to evaporate some and removed the fuel pump fuse and cranked it a few times by the ignition

ok, good to know I'm not alone haha. I thought you needed to remove the spark plug to crank it over with injectors unplugged to clear it cause if the valves are closed on that cylinder when the piston comes up it can hydro lock.

I didn't but that's not wrong either. I mean removed that spark plug to verify that the plug isn't soaked. If so that plug won't fire

I don’t think 2 teaspoons is enough to Hydro lock the motor, but it will seep past the rings into the oil after a little bit. Letting it sit for a little bit and coming back to it later or the next day is a good thing

I only said 2 teaspoons cause that’s what I saw, I didn’t know if more pored in when I wasn’t paying attention. I’m due for an oil change anyways so no harm no foul haha. Just looked at it this morning and I believe it got stuck on top of the valve and now it’s all evaporated. Thank you for the advise
