I ****ing hate thieves so much.... Useless wastes of oxygen

The whole country is like that, not just his lot. It's crazy.
You aren't kidding, never seen car lots so empty everywhere.
Its crazy how people aren't scared..

They have nothing to be scared of. Police arnt doing shit now, and even if caught, they aren't given proper punishment.... Here in Chicago, crime on every level has SOOOOARED over the past couple years because the police sit back in their cars doing jack shit, or look the other way if on foot. Mugging, looting, carjackings, murders. You name it. I think the city this year, so far, has a murder clearance rate of just 8%.... Thats why we have something like 550 murders so far.

Be sure your security cameras are secure. I've had them stolen off the sides of a few of our stores in Colorado even at 14ft up.
They were useless for him as part of its security is it cannot be reset, but it was an 8mp IP cameras with optical zoom and mics (~$600 camera) The guy made a lasso and guided it over using a pole, then pulled on it until all of the screws failed.

About 3 months ago we had a tow truck pull up to our used car lot....break a window to a truck...hook it and yanked it out. Entire process took about 2mins. Truck was already sold, detailed and sitting by the front door waiting for customer delivery.
Took the cops two months to find out who did it, but truck was never found.

Still betting nothing happens. I wonder if that company is still in possession of that truck

We had an employee. We asked him to drive one of the service trucks to a manual car wash place and use the sprayer to clean some PPE that was really dirty.

I get a call from the car wash owner, chill guy, says "your employee driving your truck drove through one of my stalls and pulled down the sprayer in the ceiling". I asked if he was sure, he said "I have him on a 4k video". So I went up to the car wash, met the owner. He showed me the video and sure enough the top of our KUV body bashed the ceiling mounted sprayer.

Of course you could watch my guy get out, climb up to look at it, back up, sprayer was on the roof, drove forward, then pulled over to the next door spray bay. The sprayer was dangling in the bay he drove through. You could see him in the video keep looking at it. The owner gave me a hot stick with the video, I told him to get it repaired and I will pay for it.

Went back to the office, "Dave, did everything go okay at the car wash?" Dave: "Yup, all done washing out the PPE". Me: "no problems?", him "nope". Me: "Dave, you ran into the sprayer in the ceiling", Dave: "no I didn't" Me: "Dave, I saw the video", Dave: "I didn't break anything". Me: "Here Dave, watch the video" Dave after seeing the video: "That was already broke when I got there"

I fired Dave.

Very similar story. Had an apprentice sheet metal worker helping in the shop. "Someone" ran the top of the forklift through an overhead door after not opening it far enough in our outside warehouse. Asked around and of course no one knew anything. Went into the shop and made an announcement that no one was in trouble but we would like to know what happened, and this is the last chance before I go look at the camera's. Still not a peep. Checked the camera and sure enough the apprentice did it , got off the forklift and tried to bend the door back into position, got back in the forklift and placed the skid of materials in a different bay and drove away. Fired him that day. Left him with some advise I hope he was smart enough to listen to.. No harm, no foul for an accident, but people won't hire a liar.

I cant understand the people that will lie even when it's there in black and white...or in this case full on 4k, but I've seen plenty of em in the past. I've always made it clear I was firing them for being dishonest, not because they messed up.

Exactly.

Had an employee lie to me and tell me he didn't know he hit this lady's car. Watch it, and tell me what you think lol
