Apparently with marriage … practice does NOT make perfect lol
Pretty much my life but swap the motorcycle with a 800whp Vette. Life is ****ing great my man!
Long story short, she shutdown emotionally. She would essentially ignore me while I was trying to talk to her (would be playing some dumb ass game on her phone), so I would go out to the garage to drink instead of being ignored. Eventually I got tired of this arrangement and confronted her about it. She filed for divorce while I was in the hospital after my heart attack…lol
IIRC his situation was super ****ed. Wasn’t his wife a cheating drug addict? I thought it was after his dad committed suicide that he disappeared until he got a new Mustang. Came back for a while, then disappeared again.I remember me and Wireeater going back and forth on why marriage is not worth it. He swore the stats were skewed and if you put in effort it would work.
Two years later, got taken to the cleaners and havent seen him post in forever.
reality is, the stats as a male are not in your favor.

why in the **** do I remember this stuff?!
Thanks! Although us not having kids (her choice) was part of the reason for the divorce, I am very glad I don’t have to deal with kids in a divorce. Just 13 years down the drain.damn... that’s cold blooded.
just saw a buddy I hadn’t seen in a while... guy was married with kids and come to find out she was cheating on him and they had split up.... ftml.
good luck out there man!

Will be, in the process of divorce.

Not to be harsh but if she gets back on the “carousel” rather quickly, don’t be upset or surprised. Women will cultivate their next branch long before they leave. There are a few studies showing over 50% of women have a backup plan if their marriage doesn’t work out and continue to cultivate it throughout. Hypergamy is a mofo. A woman is only happy when she feels she doesn’t have or can’t get a better option. Thanks! That's insane! Im only staying married once, if it doesnt work out, next girl better not ask for a ring or kids since there's a 99.9% chance I wont be able to anyways haha

We don’t have any kids and she currently makes more than me. So should be a smooth transition. I’m more concerned that my double bypass surgery is scheduled for the 23rd and school starts August 23rd. Hoping I have recovered enough to be able to go to school this semester.

My wife is my high school sweetheart, so itll be tough to get anyone real close to that. As great as things are (far as today, tomorrow, forever? IDK) I wouldnt want to go thru the same crap with someone else from the beginning. That's my point of view. I just got married last year. Prior to that was 100% "Never getting married" and I was actually perfectly fine with that. However one thing lead to another and I am with someone that I have known since 2nd grade. Keeping things dry and unemotional this is my one and done. The only person I ever wanted. I can almost guarantee that if it never worked out with her then I would not be getting married. Period. The other big deal is I don't want kids and neither does she. That's almost impossible to find once you get into your 30's.
To be fair, us men really wouldnt care to move on ASAP anyways. They are like chimps swinging from vines.
They don’t let go of the last one before they have a grip on the next one

Yeah keeping the Raptor. Biggest financial concern is keeping my house (trying to qualify for a loan for it).Do you get to keep the Raptor at least?
Yeah she wants very little out of the divorce.similar situation at least on that part, 9 years seems bad enough. I'm just grateful we peacefully went our separate ways, she didn't even take what she could have via the prenup.
I can never 100% rule out that she is not cheating on me. However, I don’t think she is physically. Again however, she has become friends with this super high maintenance, single, crazy **** in the past year or so and am 99% certain the **** has influenced her to do just that (cultivate a new relationship). I’m definitely angry about it, but there isn’t shit I can do about it.Not to be harsh but if she gets back on the “carousel” rather quickly, don’t be upset or surprised. I think it is more that she just can’t be happy with what she has/is unrealistic. For instance, we bought/built our house in 2018 and ever since then she has been on realtor.com looking at other houses. Now she is saying that she never wanted this house and only agreed to it, to make me happy. To say I’m dumbfounded is a slight understatement. We legit talked about all the pros/cons about this house. She tries to make it seem that I was a control freak, I don’t see how talking about stuff makes me a control freak.Sorry to hear, that's rough man. Knowing nothing else about your situation, I'm guessing she wanted a wedding more than a marriage. I call it the Disney Princess Syndrome.

I almost passed out yesterday, was petting my dog for a minute and when I stood up my vision went 95% white and I lost my balance. Thankfully I was next to the couch and went for it. Didn’t lose consciousness, but I felt damn close. Been checking my BP pretty regularly and it has generally been in the 120/62 range with all these meds when it was generally 135/80 prior to the heart attack. After that incident yesterday, I checked my BP and it was 107/60. The Docs didn’t seem to concerned when I told them how easily I was getting light headed and vision going white. I guess it is to be expected with all the meds I’m on for the stent I got.I believe you'll be good to go. My triple wasn't planned and the broke my sternum before the operation. Yours is planned and should go a lot better. I was walking up stairs at home 7 days later. Even messed with the wife. At four weeks your cuts should be good. Keep up the blood pressure monitoring, so you have a grasp what meds you really need. I was able to cut out and cut some in half. Today is really my first day out in the field, and in love it. I just cool off in the truck and surf SVTP for a bit.
