I see fireworks on a random Tuesday just as annoying as the people who will blare 2500 watts of stereo when they are having a cookout so the neighbors can all hear

annoying and trashy. People wonder why nobody wants to live in the city anymore. no rules, no enforcement, just chaos and you’re a Karen if you complain.

It's the excessive and wonky times that are annoying.

Is there a reason to buy fireworks that you need to plug your ears for? It isn't enjoyable even if you want to be there.

I can give you 9-11pm on July 4. I'll even give you July 3 and/or 5 as families and friends can't always meet on the 4th. Anything beyond that is nonsense.

I have to admit that I am a bit surprised that some of you shrug off the vets with pets. Sure it can be a fake agenda to get it all to stop. However, there could be someone living a street over (that you have no idea about) that has legit issues from war. What if it is for that person? You have some serious issues if you still fire them off knowing that someone fought for our country and is in hell these couple of days and you're out there "having fun." That is straight up disrespectful as hell.

I have a 2 year old Beagle that does not give a shit. We just brought in an 8 week old Poodle two days ago. I am pretty sure he will be fine as well.

when all fails, just put on a movie on loud enough.

That’s what noise cancelling headphones are for.

our neighborhood is next to a minor league ball park. our oldest pup is 13 she doesn't like thunder but has gotten used to fireworks since they set them off during home games or other pup doesn't give a shit. what kills me beside everyone complaining about their dogs not liking them is the number of ex military complaining about how fireworks sets of their PTSD ... get a set of headphones and shut up already

I believe it is the vibration as much as it is the sound.

‘I will not make a stink with my neighbors over fireworks but the truth is I care more about my dogs than I do my neighbors. One dog isn’t bothered, the other is terrified.

Happy 4th of July people! I love seeing the fireworks, but we don't do it at home. I need to secure a place where my dog won't be bothered by the sound or else it will make her crazy.

Alright, I take it all back. Friend came with what looked like rookie shit. 1am loudest bs microworks I've heard. Pretty sure I met the real life Simpsons cat lady freaking out across the street. Some times it's fun to do dumb shit to feel young.

I have two dogs now, and neither cares about thunder or fireworks. I've had other dogs that would hide in the fricken closet, shaking. It's a dog, so I don't care; they are dumb and their memories are short.

It scares the shit out of my dogs but they get over it. Fireworks are a big part of the 4th. The highlight of the day.

Fireworks are like fast cars. Have fun, don't be a moron, don't **** up other people's stuff.

Other than that mind your business, I'm having fun.
Great analogy. Town noise ordinances exist for this very reason. When I go watch the jet cars the show ends by 10pm, same goes for fireworks. There is unspoken leeway around the 4th, but I also shoot them off on birthdays, cookouts and hell even game nights. Just know your audience. If your next door neighbor has a a dog who goes crazy or a kid that goes to bed early, go to a buddy's house to do it. Common courtesy is like common sense, it's not common and that is why we feel the need to regulate everyone's actions.
